Travel Locks January 3, 2008 Lori A. Tewes (Orland Park, IL USA) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
These locks worked well on suitcases. As stated, you can use your own combinations and reset the locks if they have been opened by the TSA. This is a nice feature because it lets you know if your luggage has been opened. We purchased several of these locks in hopes to use it on our ski cases but the shafts were not long enough to fit through the holes on the hard case.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY July 15, 2008 LOCKLESS TRAVEL 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
1) The TSA removes these locks in order to inspect your baggage. They often forget to put the locks back on. The TSA will NOT reimburse you if this happens. So, you will be out the money you paid for the lock AND your luggage will still go thru transport unlocked. No one wins 2) These locks are easily damaged. The number dials get smashed in making them impossible to turn. In most cases you will have to cut the lock off in order to open your bag. We bought FOUR of these locks for vacation and only ONE made it home from vacation. One of the locks was damaged to the point we had to cut it off and the other two locks were lost in transport (they were on the bags when we left them at the departing airport, but were missing when we picked the bags up).
Lewis and Clark Luggage Lock May 14, 2008 A. Jacobs (Omaha, NE) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This lock worked like a dream. It was so easy to set, and I never had any problems with it. Plus, we used it to not only lock our luggage while flying, but also locked our valuable items in the suitcase while we were away from our hotel room. (Not all items would fit in the hotel safe). It worked GREAT! In fact, my entire family is now going to buy them.

The Lewis and Clark travel lock serves its purpose well. The lock is easy to set and use. I ordered mine after friends had their backpack raided. One lost a passport and camera, the other a makeup kit. While the lock doesn't assure safe travel, I feel it discourages would-be pickpockets. I would recommend this product over similar products with higher prices.

Great product I have a few. They are great for airplanes. TSA can get in but no one else. They also came quick.
