Nice Hiking boots for the money. December 13, 2005 Michael L. Ragusa (Houston, Texas) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
These were the closest replacement for my 2001 'Trail Dust' Hikers that I had (no longer available) and they say are Waterproof but they are talking about the boot itself up to about 3" of water (No splash), the leather itself needs to be protected by Mink Oil or something similar for water repelent to keep from staining the leather with spots. Nice construction and lightweight boots for the money, Thanks.
Great For Casual Wear May 1, 2006 George W. Wilson (Woodbridge, Virginia United States) 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
I am on my second pair of these boots, and I absolutely love them. The look great, and they are very comfortable for dialy wear. That is why I gave them 5 stars. If you are looking for a pair of hiking boots, these are NOT what you want. I give them zero stars for hiking. I recently wore these with gel inserts on a 9 mile hike in the Shenandoah National Park and my feet hurt so bad I wanted to die. Needless to say, I will be shopping for a pair of actual hiking shoes now, but when these wear out, I will definately buy another pair for casual wear.
great boots October 28, 2007 Marty Hamilton (MD,USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
my second pair, the first pair haven't worn out yet but getting close. these boots have been to hell and back. great boot for the price!!!
Great Boot! May 12, 2008 Wiliam Teele (Boothbay Harbor, ME USA) I'm a landscaper and I purchased these boots to wear while I'm working. They're great! Comfortable - water-proof - much better than the description given. I like them so much, I've ordered a second pair. Definitely a great value for the money.
Great boots June 21, 2008 Brent Huffman (Orlando, FL) This is the 4th pair of these boots that I have owned. I have worn almost nothing but these boots now for over 6 years as they are nearly as comfortable right out of the box as the old worn out pair that is being repalced. Great quality!! Great comfort!! A+++ in my book!!!!
