Suspenders November 15, 2007 Western Man (Where the West Begins) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
These old time button suspenders look and work great. The adjustment clips are stiff to use but since a guy usually only has to adjust them once it's not a big issue. I had buttons sewed in my pants to use these types of suspenders as the clip types were scratching my leather car and truck seats as I slid in and out. They would also slip off from time to time, usually at the worst possible time/location for me to have to try and snap them back. I found that these button types are much superior to the clip types, they hold better and never slip off. These are great and the colors are neat
Check the Size before you Buy! October 6, 2008 Peter (Alexandria, VA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Before you purchase these braces, please pay special attention to the sizing information provided in the item description, or check with the vendor. This vendor sells a "regular" size that measures 48 inches, and it also sells a "tall" size that measures 52 inches. These sizes are not standard. The standard length for a "regular" is 42 inches. So, if you are very tall, these braces might be for you. However, if you are 5'10'' or under, I suggest that you look elsewhere, since even these "regular" braces will be too long for you. Also, the leather straps look a little cheap. However, the braces are entirely elasticized (instead of using wool or silk), so the cheap leather is paired appropriately with the inexpensive elastic. I couldn't wear these braces due to their extreme length, so I returned them. The vendor for my purchase (Belt Outlet) gave me a full refund--even after several months, which was very nice of them. Their communication was a little slow, and I had to remind them to answer my email. However, they stood by their product, and they honored our transaction. I would buy another product from them if they sold standard sizes.
Amazing January 7, 2008 Maureen Justice (Ohio) The product and the service were great. I was so impressed with both that I placed a second order right before the Christmas holiday and my items still arrived promptly.
Best Service January 13, 2008 Mary Allen (Union, WV United States) Wonderful place to go for those hard-to-find items. Fast service and easy-to-use web site. Couldn't be better.
variable quality January 17, 2008 Michael (San Diego, CA United States) I've had problems with these. The white color gets dirty after a while. The blue one has chipped and started to discolor in places. That's OK if you always wear them under a jacket. In one of them, the adjusting clip keeps slipping. These are definitely the 'cheap' option. The jacquard from the same shop is better. BTW these have been 'reduced' forever!
