Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Favero Fencing Reel, Here NOW! Thanks to an innovative, patented design, the Millennium reel does not use rotating rings with brush rub or mercury contacts. ULTRA FLAT. The reel's thickness is just 4.8cm, slightly more than the piste's height. FEWER WINDING TURNS. Therefore the reel can wind the 20-meter cable in just 20 turns. By contrast, currently available reels require 40 to 50 turns. This also causes the springs to last longer since it has fewer coils to turn. STRONG STAINLESS STEEL CASE. The case is sturdy and easy to clean. In addition, thanks to its flat, square shape, it is easy to carry and store. STEADINESS ON THE FLOOR. Thanks to its solid 4.8kg weight and its four rubber “feet”, the reel is extremely steady - pulls on the cable during matches can hardly move the reel. INNOVATIVE BRAKING SYSTEM. The reel's design moderates the speed of winding when the cable is released from longer distances. The braking mechanism exploits centrifugal force and activates only when the reel exceeds a certain rotary speed. Strong or “bad” pulls received by the cable at the end of the run are therefore avoided

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars A good, solid reel, for a very good price   April 4, 2006
D. Smith (Dallas, Texas)
Our club has been using these reels for a couple of years now. They've been quite durable, and they almost never bind up when reeling in the cable. And the stability mentioned in the vendor review is totally accurate. I've seen lots of reels, including Uhlman, pulling their tape off the floor and following fencers down the strip. On the moderately dusty institutional-tile floors where our club practices, we've never had a Favero reel move.

We're about to buy our third pair of these.

We'll be adding even more exciting features to assist you in the coming year.
