| Customer Reviews:
Converted for use on my motorcycle May 14, 2008 E. Porter (New York) These mitts are pretty good. I use this on two different bikes, one with mirrors on the handlebars and the other bike has mirrors on a fairing. To mount on the bike with the mirrors, I cut a slit for the end to mount over the bars and slip the mirrors through. I then sewed velcro on the edges to close the opening after it's mounted. This prevents cold air from entering and keeps the rain out. I then also bought a heavy duty poly binder - cut the cover in half and disposed of the metal. I curled the poly sheets and inserted them into the mitts to hold their shape open, I fastened them with some velcro. The poly flexes the mitt open. This also prevents the mitt from wrapping around the levers on the highway and pressing the levers down at speed. It also allows you to put your hand in easier. If use the heated grips, I can wear summer gloves in the rain and snow in the winter and still be dry and comfortable. Without heated grips and summer gloves, I can go down to the 40 easy. 30's are a bit chilly but ok. 20's - I either switch on heated grips or go for winter gloves in addition. BTW. They dry out quickly if the do get wet and my hands are always dry as the material is waterproof, but your seams and opening may allow water in. And while these aren't going to make you look sexy, you'll be comfortable, dry and warm. and they don't look as bad as others, plus they go a good way up your arm and over the bars, so there's a lot of protection. And, I tipped the bike over in the parking lot and they saved the handlebars from getting damaged. Hope this helps, good luck.
