Best little tricycle March 18, 2008 Jenifer Chapin (Sacramento, CA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
My son loves this tricycle. Hes got it for Christmas when he was 14 months old, and I cant seem to keep him off of it and he is now 18 months old. He loves the music it plays. It was a little hard to put it together, but it is really well built and couldnt ask for a better bike for him.
No Good November 25, 2008 mommy of 2 (Illinois) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We gave me daughter this bike for her second birthday and she loved that it was Elmo. That is the only reason I gave this bike one star. If I could give it zero I would. Cons: First off when she got the bike she was unable to pedal it herself. As another poster said it sits pretty high. So, she wasn't able to use the bike till closer to two and a half. Second, the music is so loud and annoying. I have two kids and normally can tune most things out but this is impossible. I finally just had to take the batteries out since there is no volume control. Third, this thing tips easily. It is not sturdy at all. Fourth, after only a few months of use this thing it squeaks horribly! Not to mention one of the pedals continues to fall off. Fifth, I loved the idea of the handle to help steer while this kids are younger. That is actually one of the features that drew me to this bike. Unfortunately, the handle has so much give you really have no control at all. Overall, I am very unhappy with this bike. Kids love it because it is Elmo but really that is the only positive to this bike. If I were you save your money and keep looking.
Hard to pedal! November 24, 2008 Miranda Schanks (maricopa, az usa) This is a very cute trike and my daughter was super excited to receive it last Christmas. However the front wheel rubs in the fork, and it seems to be designed that way. There is no way to adjust it. It was a nice feature when I was pushing her around on it, but she is 3 now and strong and still can't pedal this thing easily. She can ride all her friends' trikes with no problem, but this thing is designed so it won't roll away down the driveway. So as soon as she stops pedaling it stops dead. Also, it sits quite tall, it's recoomended for 1 year olds, but mine couldn't reach the pedals until recently, and she is very tall! All in all, it's cute when you the child is little and you have to push them with the handle, but BAD when they try to ride on their own. My daughter is getting a different tricycle this year!
Adorable November 26, 2008 A. Frederick (Great Falls, MT) I think this is the cutest tric. My daughter is getting it for Christmas...she'll be 2 in January. The box does say 2+ on the box, so don't let amazon's age fool you. My daughter is very small for her age and I know very well she probably won't be able to peddle on her own yet. I'm happy if she can just sit on it and I push her while my older daughter is riding her bike around the block. We have other older trics that she will possible be able to do on her own around the house if need be, but we have 3 kids and have never found a tric that actually fits the child at the age it says it should. My older daughter is tall for her age and when she was 2 her new tric was a little big for her too...that is how they are able to put that it goes form ages 2-5. The seat is adjustable on this tric and the push bar is removable. I think it will work perfect for our families situation.
Good trike, lovable by any child...small hiccup on the assembly December 27, 2008 Mario Alfredo Maradiaga Cruz (San Pedro Sula, Honduras, Cemtral America) Well like the title clearly states, it's difficult for a child not to like this. The trike is pretty nice and easy to setup given you have enough room to work with, it's pretty well built. My only complain is that when you assemble the seat you can't use the first two screw hole to attach the seat to the body of the trike, thus if you're kid is still a little too small (even though the specs say it's for 1 to 4 year olds)or has short legs, you won't be able to screw the seat at the frontmost position, only the middle and farthest position from the pedals. When you try to use the frontmost screwholes the curve of the body of the trike forces the seat to lift a little so the screws end up to short and don't go all the way through. I know this can be easily fixed by getting some longer screws, but that would be good to know before hand not Christmas day in the morning when you're setting it up and your kid's eager to start using it. Or maybe I'm the one to blame for not setting it up before Christmas....
