The common ice scraper has a flimsy blade that isn't tough enough for hard ice and a cheap handle that is awkward and tiring to use, plus it breaks easily. The patented IceDozer has been scientifically designed and tested to clear frost and ice from auto windshields quickly and with a minimum of effort. The heart of this high-tech product is the heavy duty FlexiBlade, which bends to the curvature of the windshield. Each pass clears a much wider swath of visibility.
The IceDozer comes equipped with three powerful attack surfaces. The finely honed FrostPeeler Blade takes aim at stubborn frost, while the forward-facing IceBreaker Teeth concentrate the cracking force when tackling thicker ice. The carbide-style Tenderizers on the bottom of the IceDozer are designed to exploit the Achilles Heel of ice; its brittleness. Tapping sharply downward creates hairline fractures that make it much easier to rip ice from the windshield. Additionally, the forward-facing SnowPlow surface helps keep you dry and warm by bulldozing snow and ice away from your hands and sleeves.

This product is the best. Last year, my kids were fighting for the right to remove the ice and snow from my car. This tool just demolishes the ice. And the snow mover (that is another one of their products) is great for pushing the snow off of the hood and roof of my car.... without me getting covered with snow doing it.I can't wait for this winter... and I have already stocked up on these for friends and family for Christmas.

Just like the two reviews above the first time I used this tool I loved it because it just tears trough ice. THe only problem is that the handle is weak. The second time i used it the upper handle snapped, which leaves the scraper useless. I am currently trying to get ahol of the company for a replacement.

I bought this product primarily because of the claims that unlike other products it conforms to the shape of your windshield, thus making for more productive ice removal. Well, don't believe it. At the low temperatures at which you'll be using this product, it doesn't bend much. I found that it doesn't really do any better than any other ice scraper. The relatively soft plastic is also a detriment. If you want a good ice scraper, go for the harder acrylic type. When scraping ice, the harder the better.

It is like a bulldozer. You cant break it. Most ice scrapers are pansy devices. You cant take them and smash ice. This thing is amazing. You can take it and smash it into your windshield and the teeth break the ice. Then use it like a block plane to scrape it off. The blade conforms to the shape of the windshield. There is so much incredible engineering in this thing if you examine it closely. It is like the better mouse trap, only it IS better.

I appreciated being able to throw my body weight behind the IceDozer. Unfortunately, this item is not very good at removing a thin coating of ice. It just slides over the thin stuff without removing much of it It's great at removing ice that's thick-enough to have an edge that the Dozer can bite into. Overall, I'm sorry I bought it.IceDozer Plus Ergonomic Ice Scraper
