If you're used to carrying medium sized purses, then this could be the bag for you. I have been carrying this one off/on for about two months. This is my first Stone Mountain purse, and I have found it to be very well made. The leather is very soft, I would even say buttery soft. The hardware is heavy duty and nice quality as well. I like that it has two outside pockets--one you see in the picture, but the other side also has an outside pocket that is zippered and is the width of the purse. Inside, the lining is a pretty stripe pattern and there are also additional pockets/compartments inside. One side has the standard zippered pocket that I consider the change pocket. The other side has a pocket that is wide and deep enough to keep items like cosmetics (I keep my lipstick, chapstick, pressed powder, a small bottle of lotion, and mascara there. This pocket has an upper velcro attachment that works really well by allowing easy access, but keeping your stuff in place. Next to this, on the same side is another pocket that so far I have alternated keeping my sunglasses vs my cellphone; it is actually the perfect size for sunglasses. There is still a good amount of space in the rest of the purse for carrying my wallet, checkbook, hand sanitizer, and my planner.
The only room I see for improvement with this purse would be for the closure to be magnetic. It is a zippered closure with a very nice tassle, but for me, I consider it a little bit of a hassle to use, so I usually leave it open. I have found that the sides of the purse come up above the zipper enough to keep the contents relatively safe from falling out.
