Amazon.com Product Description A safe, stylish alternative to plastic water bottles, Sigg water bottles are a great choice for transporting beverages on your daily commute or while backcountry hiking. This ultra-lightweight bottle is extruded from a single piece of aluminum and holds 0.6 liters of fluid (20.3 ounces). Designed to fit your on-the-go lifestyle, it comes with a loop top bottle cap, which can be secured via hook or caribiner clip to a backpack or daypack. Sigg bottles are virtually unbreakable and are constructed with no seams, ensuring a long-lasting, leak-proof performance. They also feature Sigg's proprietary baked-on inner liner, which is made from a non-toxic, water-based epoxy resin that exceeds FDA requirements for leaching (0.0 percent) and is independently tested to be taste- and scent-neutral. Every Sigg bottle is 100 percent recyclable at the end of its life, and is backed by a lifetime warranty. About Sigg It all started with a simple hiker's bottle. Today, the SIGG bottle has acquired cult status. What happened is a success story that started in Biel, Switzerland in 1908. Kueng, Sigg & Cie. manufactured leisure goods, kitchenware, and electrical appliances. The company relocated to Frauenfeld in 1916, where it helped pioneer the legendary tradition of Swiss quality. Since 1998, SIGG has concentrated on its core business: drinking bottles that deliver ultimate customer benefit. Frequently Asked Questions: Q: Can Sigg bottles be used for boiling water? A: No. Strong heat can damage the outer coating. Q: Can dents in the bottle damage the Sigg bottle's inner coating? A: No, the Sigg inner coating is highly elastic. Dents cannot crack or chip the internal lining and the Sigg bottle remains perfectly usable. Q: Can I use my Sigg bottle for carbonated drinks? A: Yes, all Sigg bottle tops provide a 100 percent seal and will not leak. It's recommended that you fill the bottle no further than 1/2-inch below the lip. And before taking a drink, relieve the pressure inside the bottle by gently rotating the entire top. Q: Are Sigg bottles dishwasher safe? A: Yes, but because of the narrow mouth of the bottle, hand washing is recommended. Q: Can a Sigg bottle be placed in the freezer A: No, as this may cause the bottle to crack. However, the bottle can be chilled in the refrigerator.

Great water bottle May 13, 2007 Michael Debro (Cleveland, OH) 19 out of 19 found this review helpful
The best container for liquid that I've used. While other no-leak containers always seem to leak, this one does not. I can throw it in my computer bag without a care. However, since the container is made from aluminum, it transfers heat well. If you put cold water in it, you'll soon have room-temperature water.
great on the inside, but maybe not on the outside September 30, 2007 pezzettino (Quebec, Canada) 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
I love my blue 0.6L Sigg water bottle. It's a great size for carrying around everywhere, and the deep blue color is to die for. It's light. It doesn't retain taste and smells from last month's fruit punch (as my last Nalgene-style bottle did, despite repeated washings and bleachings!). I've done everything I can think of to test it for leakage or taste transference, and it has proven itself worthy of my $20 every time. My only worry is with the exterior finish, which is meant to be durable but perhaps isn't. One faceplant on the concrete and my Sigg has a nasty scuff right through the paint on the bottom edge. The product info says such scuffs, come by so easily, are likely to invite further damage to the surrounding paint. I'm not overly thrilled with that prediction. Quibble aside, it's a lovely bottle, the loop-top screw cap is very convenient for carrying, and I am confident that my borrowed textbooks are safe while it's bumping around in my backpack with them. I highly recommend Sigg bottles.
If you don't mind the price, a great bottle October 19, 2007 M. Burns (Saint Paul) 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
PRO: The bottle works great. It's small enough to fit in the most crowded backpack or briefcase (and fits in cup holders in the car). You don't have to worry about the funky smells and/or flavors that often infuse your beverage when using polymeric bottles. CON: It is easily dented and scratched, which just gives it some character, but you might expect a little more for the price.
I like it!! October 9, 2007 Marcia Pogodzinski (Cedar Springs, Michigan USA) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I had read the reviews and noticed some posts about a funny taste. I got mine and I really like it. I have no funny taste and water stays fresh and cool. It's a nice quality product and delivered fast. No more plastic water bottles.
This is a great product! January 2, 2008 S. Sher (California) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
We purchased this and the 1.5 liter bottle. Both are fantastic! For some reason, it makes drinking water easier. I cannot explain it, it just does. You have many options for colors and lids. We chose blue with the loop lid. This lid is great because it makes carrying the bottle really easy. These bottles are great for working out with or just regular everyday use. If you purchase the cleaning brush, it makes cleaning the bottle relatively painless as well. You cannot put anything hot in these bottles - do not use for coffee or tea!
