Go with the Discraft 175g Ultra Star April 11, 2008 carl (Waukesha, WI United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
All organized ultimate played in the United States and most of the world uses the Discraft Ultra Star: Discraft Ultra Star - White. This is not a bad product, but I rate this low since there is a better option out there for a lower price. The differences are subtle, but certainly are noticable with a different feel on the grip and thickness of the disc. With that being said, any 175g disc is going to be light years better to any freebie "frisbee" and cheap disc you buy. You'll throw farther, more accurate, and have much more control with a 175g disc especially if you're having trouble in windier conditions.

The disc has a great feel to it and one toss lets you know that Wham-O makes great frisbees. For speed and accuracy this is a great choice.
I disagree July 20, 2007 Justin Lintelman 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Wham-O may have invented the "Frisbee", but for ultimate Discraft's flying discs have surpassed these. Wham-Os are good starter discs, but for serious play Discraft is king.
Good balance, good flight, great buy February 25, 2008 J. Myers (San Antonio, TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It's been almost a year since I've owned this frisbee and while I haven't had the opportunity to throw it a lot, it's been a pleasure each time I get the chance. It certainly replaces the good quality 175 I had before my dog got to it. I like 175g discs because they aren't affected by normal breezes and have enough weight to carry momentum a long distance. But are not so heavy that they take a strong person to throw and/or catch. This is a great all-around frisbee.
Ultimate in Nicaragua June 13, 2007 Jason M. Edgerton (Managua, Nicaragua) A bunch of us expats/missionaries play ultimate every Sunday in Managua. We have used a bunch of different discs, but these Wham-o Ultimate Frisbees are by far the best. They also hold up the best in these harsh conditions.
