This case is extremely cheaply made and not worth 10 dollars. The foam inside the box holds the guns (a large 357 Magnum revolver and a semi-automatic) so loosely they rattle around, bumping into the walls and into each other. The clasp for the combination lock fell off in my hand when I opened it for the first time. I'm pretty handy, but even I can't easily repair the cheapness of this case. The aluminum is thinner than I expected, and the .357 touches both side walls of this poorly made case. The cheap plastic case the gun came in originally is better than this silver bullet case. The picture on Amazon is not what you will be receiving.
5/18/08 Addendum: I was able to remove the foam and use a piece of rigid foam insulation (Tyvek)and spray glue on the bottom of the box to raise the original foam 1/2". I removed the cheap loose rivet's, and replaced them with stainless steel bolts with washers and locknuts. I had to adjust the handle hinge with a pair of vice grips to get it straight. I NOW have an OK gun case. I still wouldn't recommend this case- the one star rating stands, but if you like buying a brand new product, calling Sportman's Guide for a return and getting an answering machine and no callback, and then spending time and more money to get the case to work adequately, then THIS is the case for you!!
