Product Description If you are sure that kiting is for you and you want to learn on the best possible kite, the Prism Quantum is tailor-made for you. The Spectra line is the best in the business and the full carbon frame will be very forgiving in a crash. The seven foot wingspan will pull against you hard in heavy winds to give you a rush, but the Quantum is light enough to be handled in a light breeze. The impressive range of winds this kite can fly in make it a great kite for first time flyers and also means this is a kite you'll never outgrow.

Lots of Fun! April 10, 2007 S. Maeller 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This kite is very fun to fly. It's well constructed, fairly easy to put together and easy to fly. If you set the bridle to its challenging settings it responds very fast. It needs a decent wind to fly - more like 5 - 6 mph rather than the 3 mph advertised, but it pulls strongly in a moderate wind and will give you a very good workout. The only negative I experienced is with the line that is included. It is only sleeved at one end and a strong gust of wind will cause it to break at the end that is not sleeved. I suggest sleeving the other end or buying pre-sleeved line before you fly it.
Fun Fun Fun October 3, 2007 Z. Leister 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
After moving to Boise I noticed that it gets pretty windy on a regular basis and I had often mentioned to my wife that it would be fun to fly one of those big kites in the strong winds we get here. This last Father's day she and the kids surprised me with the Prism Quantum Ice and I have to say it is really great fun. Setup and packing both take just two minutes each, which is much less than I expected. The brief instructions that come with the kite are more than enough to get you flying. The kite can be launched easily by the "pilot" without assistance and in really strong winds the "pull" is enough to move even a big adult like myself a step or two. The dual controls are very responsive and in short the Quantum is just a blast to fly.
This was so much fun!! March 28, 2006 Dualliner (Seattle, WA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I highly recommend this kite. If you've never flown a 2 lined kite before, this one makes an excellent introduction. It comes with everything you need - kite, instructions, lines and straps. You're up and flying in about 5 minutes! The kite doesn't pull too hard or move to fast, and the best part is that you can really feel like you're in control. (this is the problem with most cheaper kites sold at the beach) This kite flies best in winds from about 5mph up to 15mph or so. The construction/build quality is fantastic and I had no problems with mine even after bashing it into the ground many times. Get one of these and you'll have a blast!
Awesome beginner kite! May 22, 2007 groundeffect (St. John's, Newfoundland) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
If you're looking for a stable kite to start with in the sport, to really give it a try, here it is! What are you looking for in a kite? - Durability - Stability in the air - Little bit of pull from the wind - Cool color scheme - Easy to fly - ..... This kite has it all! The first time I flew it I had control. It was stable flying around, solid in tricks and a good speed across the sky. The bag that it comes is pretty neat as well. The Quantum breaks down and packs up real easy to fit. The neat design of the Kinetic Dissipater really works and saves the kite from most hard crashes, allowing you to stay in the air, spending time kiting at the field rather then shopping for parts. Awesome bang for the buck - the built-in kinetic dissipater alone will save you cash in parts. After too many nose-dives on other sport kites they tend to break much easier then the Prism Quantum.
Great Kite. Affordable and durable. February 17, 2007 groundeffect (St. John's, Newfoundland) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
