 Looks nice but too much shirt October 7, 2008
L'Doleur Exquise (Austin, TX)
This is the same shirt you'd find at a Ross, TJ Maxx or any other discount store. I love Kenneth Cole, but it was like wearing a bedroom sheet. I'm about average build and this shirt dwarfed me. It's not a very modern fit more like baggy fit. The neck and sleeve lengths were fine though. I suppose I'll pay to get this shirt tailored so that it fits but I shouldn't have to!

I may not be a fashionista, reference "L'Doleur". However, I have no problems with this shirt. My guess is that L'Doleur has impeccable taste and everyone who knows him *agrees*. A simple search has him flaming this product across several websites and his screen name makes me wonder if he's a closet case. Back to the shirt. This is a pretty well constructed item since I have seen many fashionable brand name products opt to compromise on quality. No evidence of skimping here. My understanding of the clothing industry and the fashion sect of same is that tailored fit is the best and without it you'd simply be a poseur. I have all of my suits, sport coats, and slacks tailored and if I were really into fashion, I'd probably have my shirts tailored as well. That being said, I am not into fashion and found this shirt to fit me just fine off the rack. L'Doleur seems to have been shopping for a dress shirt tailor made to him, except he skipped the stop at the tailor. When a person is looking for something very specific, whether they realize it or not, it can be pretty tough to find.
