Quality filter for a great price April 13, 2007 maxxpwr (Virginia) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Got this for my Honda. This is better than Honda's own OEM filter now that production has been moved to Honeywell/Fram. It's just sad that Fram has become so popular and dominating even though it has consistently been the worst filter brand. Lets all be happy that we can still buy a quality Purolator filter at what is an excellent price! Oddly enough, this PureOne filter was cheaper than the regular Purolator filter.
Pure one filter for Kawasaki Vulcan 2000 June 7, 2007 James Hunt (NW Iowa) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
After reading tons of information on the filter I found two on Amazon for a fair price and were instantly shipped to me. I highly recommend Amazon.
Superb, Super-Sized Oil Filters at an Amazing Price! July 13, 2007 MonsieurGonzo (San Francisco, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
These highest-rated Purolator 'PureOne' P/N: PL14610 oil filters are also larger than standard-size replacement PL14612, and fit not only my '96 Miata roadster but also my Honda NT650 and VFR750 motorcycles! Considering that 'Pure One' filters can be difficult to find in local brick & mortar automotive supply stores in certain areas, that they are abundant here on AMAZON at amazing low prices is remarkable; that they are available with FREE, SUPER-SAVING SHIPPING is just icing on the cake, folks!
PureONE Top Rated August 4, 2007 FJRMAN (Salem, OR) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I did an extensive study on filters for my new Yamaha FJR1300 and the PureONE came out on top every time. It is modestly priced as compared to the competition and Amazon has the best deal ($5.88/ea and buy 6 for free freight). An equivalent filter from Yamaha doesn't exist. The OEM filter uses a paper media with paper end caps and the Purolator is comprised of three different media; paper, fiberglass and polyester. The PureONE has more pleats yielding more surface area for your buck and filters below 10 microns. The anti-drainback valve was superior as well. The Yamaha OEM filter costs twice the price and doesn't filter the smaller particles. Although the PureONE filter is blue and my bike is Black Cherry in color, the difference in color is acceptable for the benefits. I have switched to synthetic (Amsoil MCF) after the first 2,500 miles and now feel confident that my bikes internals will last a very long time!
Best filter for your money September 4, 2007 T. W. Denny (Portland, OR) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
These filters rule!! They should fit most motorcycles without a problem. They fit my friend's 2006 FZ6 just fine, and they work on my 2002 VFR800 (the PL14612 fits better if you have the EVAP canister still installed). From all the reviews I've read about filters, the Purolator PureOne filters are top notch and extremely well built. If you ever seen one taken apart and compared to OEM or budget filters (e.g. Fram) there's a huge difference.
