 If You Like Original Desitin, This Might Disappoint You July 15, 2008

I loved the original formula for Desitin, with that scent no one could mistake, and the Desitin Creamy wasn't bad, but didn't have the trademarked scent... but Desitin Clear really disappointed me. The ingredient is white petrolatum, which I can get in a jar of white petroleum jelly for much, much cheaper. It's greasy and thick, it doesn't allow the skin to breath and there is no scent to it at all - but you're going to pay anywhere between 4-6 bucks for a small tube of it, while a jar of cheap petroleum jelly with the same ingredient is much larger and can be bought for less than a buck!

I love the product. I do believe that "less is more" especially when it comes to baby products, so I especially like that it doesn't have any perfum. It is clear and therefore you don't see it in the creases. Never had a rash with it, I will only use the original/or classic if my baby should have a rash.
