Good formula for gassiness, but not truly lactose free December 11, 2007 Professor 77 (Seattle, WA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a lactose removed product. Because it is still milk-based, there were still problems for our baby until we switched to Soy. That said, if your baby is gassy but not completely lactose intolerant then this product should work great. Even with the lactose issues, our baby was much better off with this formula over regular formula. The ready to feed containers are super handy and the formula doesn't require heavy shaking after storage, unlike powdered formula.
Good for lactose intolerent babies March 6, 2008 vadina blue (Queens N.Y.) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My baby was very gassy and acidic when she was born, and still is. Iam lactose intolerant so I Figured she may be and tried many baby formulas including soy based. None of them helped until I Found the similac milk based lactose free formula(similac sensitive)My baby was so much more happy and her symptoms are gone. I have even switched back to other formulas to make sure and she always gets sick . My baby is only allowed to drink this formula are the lactaid milk that I drink. She is now one years old and wants no other type of milk. This is a very helpful formula.
good to the last drop April 8, 2008 maggie (Lapeer, Michigan United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My grandson is thriving on this formula he was having a lot of difficulty with regular formula and this sensitive one does the trick he has gained inches and pounds and is happy and laughing we think anyone with a fussy baby should try it
Best Formula! Our Pumpkin loves it April 8, 2008 Zeesmama (TX) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Similac Sensitive for fussy and gassy babies is amazing. Our pumpkin loves it! I was afraid to try formula because our baby is breastfeed and had trouble with gassiness from milk products I ate or drank. This was the perfect solution if you are going to try formula for the first time. We haven't had any problems for 3 weeks now. No fussiness, no gassiness, no spit up:o) You hear all the horror stories about formula and how it affects our babies...well this one has been great! We still breastfeed but supplement with formula. Also, make sure when you go to buy this formula you look for Fussy and Gassy...Similac makes another sensitive formula to reduce spit up. This one has an Orange lable and the other one is more of a pinkish orange...like salmon:o)Here's to Happy Eating!
Love the Formula. Amazon delivery unpredictable. March 19, 2008 Brik We normally use the powder formula but this is not that much more money and it is easier to use. The formula seems thicker than powder formula and if its anything like the difference between powdered milk and real milk it probably tastes better too. Our baby is almost 6 months old and a thicker milk is probably a good ramp up to more solid foods. We like sensitive because it is gentler on the stomach than regular formula so for the price this is a good buy. Only thing that has been spotty is the shipping, generally the package comes very quick, usually in 3 days from order but sometimes longer. The packaging has been strange also, the first order came in a big plastic bag with no padding. The box was breaking open and 2 bottles had dents on them. The formula seemed ok but was a strange package indeed. The second came in a regular box over another box and was much better padded. I am glad they are packaging better because I almost stopped ordering this from Amazon for that reason. At this point all is good.
