Amazon's price is outrageous May 17, 2008 G. Macleod 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I found these bottles this morning (May 17) on babiesrus.ca website for $16.99 - the same company, the same size, in the same 2-pack. Granted, the website says they are "temporarily unavailable online" but I'm going to the store today to see if I can buy them there. I was in stores yesterday and other brands were selling for $18.99 a 2-pack. Obviously consumers are being gouged with this pricing on Amazon and certain companies are taking advantage of worried parents and I'm very suprised that Amazon is a part of this.
INFLATED PRICES!!!!! April 30, 2008 jsruther (Portland, OR) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
We loved Dr. Brown's plastic bottles, they helped our son who has reflux. However, we switched to glass with the whole BPA scare. As you may have noticed one HORRIBLE person is trying to make a lot of money off you by offering 2 bottles for $[...]. The internal parts of Dr. Browns system do not have BPA and they work on Evenflo glass bottles ([...]). I did have to trim the straw. The Evenflo/Dr. Browns does not work as smoothly as the old plastic but it will get you through until the Dr. Brown's glass are more available. Shame on the private seller shirlspup for inflating prices four times what they should be, playing on parents fear!
Looking for Glass Only? Don't buy these. April 6, 2008 Candy L. Lawson (Dublin, CA) 5 out of 14 found this review helpful
The bottle itself is glass but the straw inside is not. We had to return these.
Good overall January 8, 2008 J. Montes (San Francisco, CA) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I replaced the old plastic doctor Browns with these a couple of days ago. Got scared over the whole BPH thing. Anyhow I got them home and sterilized them by boiling them for about three minutes as directed. As soon as I took the bottles out of the water I noticed that the label starting rubbing off. The label seems to wear of more and more with each wash. The ounce measuring chart is almost completly rubbed of on one of the bottles. The plastic Dr. Browns label never rubbed off. The should of just etched the label is the glass or something of that nature. Also I wish they were at least 8 oz. I hope they will put out a larger version. Overall my 5 month old son is happy with these bottles.
Labeling immediately comes off January 18, 2008 A. Schulze (Warrensburg, MO) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I used the plastic Dr. Brown's bottles for my son a few years ago and I think they are wonderful. I was really excited to see that they had come out with glass bottles in response to the plastic concerns. Almost immediately the labeling on the bottles started flaking off. I haven't even put them in the dishwasher, hand washing only! The labeling should really be etched like the evenflo glass. Don't buy these if you want to know how many ounces you have in the bottle. After 2 weeks worth of use these appear to be 10 years old! Disappointed!
