Product Description Chart your Basal Body Temperature and predict ovulation - your most fertile time of the month for conceiving a baby - with a specially designed digital BBT Thermometer. When a woman ovulates, a rise in body temperature takes place in order to provide a more fertile environment for conception. By monitoring when this temperature change occurs, you can determine when ovulation takes place in your cycle. Recording each day's basal body temperature with a BBT Thermometer will help you predict ovulation. The Fairhaven Health Digital Basal Thermometer provides temperature readings to 1/100th of a degree - perfect for fertility charting and predicting ovulation.

~It does what it's supposed to do...take your BBT~ June 24, 2007 Christina M. Kerns (Eaton, OH USA) 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
It doesn't cost much and lets you chart accurately so based on that alone this is worth buying. ~~~Some people on here have complained that it takes too long to take your temp. I totally dissagree. It is a few minutes, maybe 5 minutes max and that is only if your temp. is at its highest which takes longer. My Dr said to keep the thermometer under the tongue for at least 2 minutes so if this was any quicker I wouldn't feel comfortable that it was accurate. PRO's: *Cheap($) *Accurate *It beeps when finished *It beeps when turned on/off *Memory recall CON's: *I though the button was hard to push, BUT I am always still able to turn it on/off *It isn't backlit, BUT it also doesn't claim to be *The memory recall you have to hold down the hard to push button pretty hard and the temp only lasts there seconds before dissapearing, BUT you can turn it off then on and do the recall again if you miss it the first time. I take my temp in the dark so the beep on is great and I am always half asleep or fall back asleep with it in my mouth so the beep when finished is great then I can turn it off and get another beep. And since I am always half asleep, I would never remember my temp if it were backlit anyhow. I ususally wait till I get home from work to recall my temp. ****For anyone TTC, you cannot rely on taking your temps alone to know when you are fertile. Most Women probably already know that but I had no clue till a couple months ago when I read the book- "Taking Charge of Your Fertility, 10th Anniversary Edition: The Definitive Guide to Natural Birth Control, Pregnancy Achievement, and Reproductive Health", I recommmend it to every Woman, especially if you are trying to get pregnant.
Good and inexpensive. September 21, 2005 B (MA) 10 out of 16 found this review helpful
This thermometer works great. It is accurate to 100th of a degree. It only beeps when it is done which is nice. It does take a little while to get to the final temperature though. I like it and it is well worth the money.
Better options available January 20, 2006 Atomic Leo (New Mexico) 10 out of 13 found this review helpful
No backlight and the one I received was too sensitive. ANY motion (like breathing) screwed up the reading and it takes 2 minutes to get a reading. Try something else!
Easy to use February 8, 2006 H. Brady (Murray, UT, USA) 6 out of 10 found this review helpful
This thermometer makes it easy to take your temperature every day. Its easy to read and, since it beeps when it has reached temperature, it is easy to use. The only problem is that I sometimes wake my husband with the beeping.
works, but needs a back light March 9, 2006 Infertile Myrtle (Glendale, CA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
You have to really have your eyes open and a light on to see the temp. Hard to do when you just woke up!! Besides that, it works fine.
