This thermometer has pretty much everything that is suggested when it comes to buying a basal body thermometer. It has the backlight and the memory function. It only takes 1 minute to give you your temperature. It beeps every 4 seconds to let you know it is working. I would prefer that it didn't beep and that is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. It also gives you a long beep to let you know when it is done. It only reads to one decimal place after the decimal which is fine with me.

i like the slim tip design, the speed of this thermometer (1 min vs my previous one which was 5mins), the back light & the 4 sec beep to tell you that it's on (I used to fall back to sleep while it was taking my temp & only realise after 10 mins that i had accidentally turned it off!) I don't like the fact that it only read temp in Fahrenheit & that it only has 1 number after the decimal point instead of 2.

I like this thermometer. It does exactly what I expect it to, and the features are thoughtful and work well: it stops beeping if it gets moved to the wrong place or its reading is disrupted, and I like the light and how it displays the last temperature read when you first turn it on.
The only negative is that I'm not 100% sure of its accuracy. It might be my fault because I'm not sure exactly where to place it in my mouth - I kind of aim for under one side of my tongue, toward the back, but it's a little hard to tell if that's right based on the diagram in the instructions. But I've used it for a couple months now and once in awhile I get a wacky reading. Then I re-temp and it seems to be a more normal temperature (I use FAM so I have some expectation of where my temperature should fall within a range) but it leaves me doubting the reading somewhat. I'm still giving it 4 stars though, because it might be user error and overall I would say it does usually give an accurate reading.
