Better than Boppy, easy to clean, use it standing up! April 4, 2007

Removable cover (zipper) make this easy to clean (just make sure the velcro is stuck to itself when you wash it or it will stick to all your nice socks.
My wife tried a boppy for the first month then got this, which she used continually for the next six.
You can even use it standing up or when you move around since the strap goes around your back. The strap also provides back support. The pocket is a nice touch (you put your Lansinoh in it) The only possible downside is it isn't that easy to put on with one hand (if you are already cradling the baby)

My baby came 5 weeks early and the process of breastfeeding hit me like a Mack truck, I didn't get to take the breastfeeding class I'd signed up for and had to learn everything in the hospital. This was horrible as I was on some pretty strong drugs and on no sleep, with scrunchy pillows that compressed down and didn't support my arms and back, leaving me incredibly sore after trying to breastfeed and pump. As soon as my husband brought the pillow to the hospital the process of learning to breastfeed improved a million percent - the pillow is soft enough to be comfortable for the baby but nice and firm. It stays in place, is easy to snap on and off, and Dad loves using it too. The pocket is nice and I love that the cover is washable. At first I wasn't sure what the little bumps on the one side were for so I just turned it over and used it that way, and it worked fine - since then I've figured out the little bumps are in the exact right position to hold up baby's head just a little bit, so you can even nurse without having one hand cradling the head (if you want to). I LOVE this product, I don't know what I'd do without it.

I have been using the My Brest Friend pillow for three months and I LOVE IT! It is so secure and never slips or slides like the Boppy pillow or traditional pillows do. The cover comes off and can be machine washed, but does have to hang to dry, which is annoying, but still not enough for me to take a star away. MBF is also nice and firm, which I find a big advantage over the Boppy. I cannot recommend this pillow enough-I will be buying it for all of my friends who plan to breast feed!

If you're a first-time mother, buy this pillow and take it to the hospital with you! Even after visits from two lactation consultants, I was in tears trying to prop my baby up on eight million bed pillows and position him for nursing. But this pillow can be strapped on easily even when you're sleep-deprived, and it makes angling and positioning the baby very, very easy. Cannot recommend it more highly.

This is really the best nursing pillow on the market. This is the nursing pillow that is recommended by lactation consultants. I can really see why. I really love this one. It has made my breastfeeding experience so pleasurable. This pillow brings baby into the perfect position for nursing. It also fastens around your waist so that the pillow is snug around you and the baby does not roll into the middle of the pillow like with the Boppy. It also has a pocket to keep nursing pads, pacifiers and other small items. The slipcover also washes up really nicely too. This is one of my favorite breastfeeding accessories and I would recommend it to anyone.
