Very Functional November 18, 2007 E. J. Torres (Long Beach, CA USA) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I used to own a Baby Bjorn and used it with our first child (lost it when we moved).I hated to spend Bjorn money so I opted for the less expensive Snugli. This is very similar to the Bjorn in how you insert and remove your child. I would say it is no harder or easier to use. So, here is why I like the Snugli better: this works for front and back use, has pockets, has a waist strap to help distribute the load, cost less. Having owned both now - even if the Snugli cost the same or more I would prefer this product.
Simply Great! December 6, 2007 Assaf Trafikant (Israel) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
BabyBjorn and alikes (front carriers) are very comfy at first, but when the baby gain weight - than it becomes pretty hard to carry the baby more than 15 minutes... We had also baby bjorn which is great (but expensive) and when our baby turned into 5 months we went on a big trip. her weight was ~7 Kg, and I knew I had to find a carrier which I could walk with at least an hour...We found that in "babies r Us" for the same price, and it was GREAT from the first time (Pictures are from yosemite National Park). The babyBjorn is now on the hanger (because we use it also as front carrier) The only Cons are that you need 2 people to put the baby in a short time, otherwise it is pretty complicated, but gets easier with time and training. 2 thumbs up for making simple, cheap, easy and light carrier... 08/14/2008 - I see now that the price is 120$....I reviewed this exact item when he was 30$ only. What happend?
We use this every day! April 28, 2008 Carina (tennessee) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We received this carrier and a Baby Bjorn carrier for our baby. I much prefer the Snugli! With the Baby Bjorn, my shoulders hurt after a few minutes of walking. I can wear the Snugli carrier for hours and it doesn't bother me. I think that it is because of the waist strap. It seems to distribute the load more evenly. We go hiking and walking in this. I am not a big person, and it fits perfectly. It also fits my husband who is much bigger and taller than I am. The latches are very sturdy on ours, but I do always check them before we go anywhere. I think that should be done with all carriers. To sum up, if you are choosing between this carrier and a Baby Bjorn, I would go with this one. It is less expensive (the Baby Bjorn is very pricey), more comfortable, and it holds a higher weight.
MY DAUGHTER FELL FROM THIS CARRIER February 23, 2008 Christina (Everywhere, World) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I received this off my baby shower registry. Luckily, we we're over some really cushy carpet. The right latch (when facing forward) did NOT latch tight compared to the left one. My daughter fell out the right leg side, and hit the floor. If you own this, CHECK the strength of the left latch to the right. PLEASE just spend the extra dollar to get a carrier that has an actual locking mechanism. This thing kind of just slide latches into place and offers no real security. Please, please, please - invest in another one and if you own it check the integrity. I really can't stress this. Just check the strength, please? I don't want to read any other reviews besides mine of a baby falling from this carrier. You'll be able to tell if its faulty by just comparing how easily the left side comes undone to the right one. If they're both loose.. Than geez I don't know. Good luck.
Great Product May 8, 2008 Nikon user Altough a littlebit too hard to adjust when used by mother and father at the same.
