Good Deal For the $$ May 12, 2007 Julie (Pennsylvania) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I purchased this bag for a recent trip involving direct flights both ways and a cruise. This bag was very roomy and easy to fit my Britax carseat into. There was extra room to fit buky items such as diapers, a swim vest, and a beach bag in the bag as well. After our first flight I noticed approx. 1 inch rips in the bottom of the bag and more rips after the trip home. The nylon of this bag is very thin and apparently not very durable for tough airline travel. It did protect my seat and belongings very well but for future trips I will probably have to reinforce the bottom of the bag with duct tape.
Good for gate-checking January 6, 2008 E. Jimenez (Massachusetts) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We used this to gate-check a carseat when traveling with our twins (works for both infant carriers and convertible carseats). My only beef is that the material is somewhat stiff. I'd like it if it folded/collapsed more easily when not in use, but perhaps that will come as it gets used more. Otherwise, it's great to have a sturdy bag to put the carseat in, for regular checked baggage or gate-checking. You never know what kind of abuse it will get put through, and who wants to have their child's carseat ripped, stained, or otherwise trashed? This keeps it safe and clean.
Great product September 13, 2007 A. Leiner 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I used this bag for a recent vaction I took and I loved how much space there was in the bag even after the carseat was in it. The bag was also very easy to carry with the shoulder strap although it would have been better if it had wheels but it work out fine for us.
Wouldn't travel without it December 31, 2007 Knots Lover 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This bag worked great! I didn't want to carry on our BIG convertable carseat so I bought this to check it in and it worked fantastically. I didn't think the bag was thin at all like another review says, in fact I found the bag to be very thick and kinda stiff which made getting the carseat in a little tricky but after that first time we had it figured out. The seat just sits straight down and you pull the sides up, there is plenty of room to store items on and around the seat, we put our jackets in there since we were traveling from OK where there was an ice storm to FL where it was 80 degress, it worked perfectly. I also like that there is a pocket on the side of the bag so you could put the strap in there for checking it in and then easily find the strap when you need to. I highly recommend this item!
Would've been nice to have a padded option March 10, 2008 Nepenthe (Knoxville, TN) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We used this travel bag for our daughter's infant seat (Graco SafeSeat) on a recent holiday trip to Denver, CO and Billings, MT. Based on a couple of other reviews, I was prepared for the worst--a ripped car seat cover and damaged car seat. As an amateurish preventative measure, I "lined" the bag with a down jacket and several baby blankets to prevent damage to the seat and was VERY pleased to find that neither the car seat nor the travel bag was harmed. The zipper still worked and the material, though a little more brittle for the wear, remained in good shape.
