love it and the customer service that comes with it!!! June 23, 2007 babygadgetgeek (Florida) 20 out of 20 found this review helpful
I love this stroller. I ordered it for our 2nd instead of the Bugaboo because when it's folded it's only one piece as opposed to the bugaboo that becomes 2, and also the huge basket. I didn't realize that I was getting so much more. With our first child, I think I spent the more money purchasing 4 different strollers and accessories trying to find just what I wanted, but never did, so I decided with this child, I would spend whatever I needed to find the stroller I wanted. Opening the box, I was amazed with all the stuff that came with it--the stroller with the bassinet, and the seat attachment, also the bug net--which is AWESOME and fits the bassinet perfectly. Our infant slept in the bassinet until he was 3 months in our room, then went to the crib--the padding in the bassinet is much nicer than any pack-n-play I've seen, and the cover can come off and thrown into the wash. The rain shield is great to, but we live in FL with a drought as of late, so haven't gotten much use. I purchased the Peg car seat adapter, so am able to transfer our sleeping infant in the car seat to the stroller without waking him. The greatest thing about this stroller is the company and customer service. The grip on my handle got a hole in it, and I didn't want it to spread, so I contacted the company for any recommendations. I spoke initially to Nicole, who was very courteous and said she would talk to the owner and call me back. She called me back within 2 hours, asked for some pics, then I received an e-mail from Bob, the owner, within 4 hours. We exchanged a couple e-mails about it and the next day, he shipped me a new frame--it arrived 3 days later. I transferred all my parts, but discovered the bottom basket was cut differently on my first frame, sent another e-mail asking if I could purchase another basket, he sent me a new basket that day--all without any hassle or cost to me. Now that's customer service. After this experience, I will be a lifetime customer and can't wait till our baby gets big so I can purchase the G-lite.
Worth every penny - the only full-size stroller with comprehensive features! January 24, 2008 C. Scanlan (MA, USA) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
It's definitely worth it to save up and get something with the features and quality. I got an UPPAbaby Vista today and it's AWESOME! I've only ever had Graco's etc, and the first "more expensive" stroller I got was the Zooper Waltz. The Vista has a telescoping bar handle and is particularly known for the high arch bar at the bottom, so it is impossible that a tall person kick it. In fact, Brooke Shields wrote to them to thank them for making a stroller for taller people. Another bonus on the height is that the chair/bassinet sits up high and so there's less back-breaking going on. At 25lbs it's really not heavy for a full-size stroller and the front wheels swivel or are lockable for light off-road/jogging etc. The basket is HUGE and all the fabric is removable and washable. It comes with a chair which can be forward or rear facing, and has an adjustable footrest (not nice for the babies to have their leggies dangling!). It also comes with a really nice, sturdy, comfy bassinett - the mattress in it has a plush side for winter and a mesh side for summer It's also the only stroller with interchangeable chair/bassinet where you do NOT have to change the fabric and you can fold up the stroller WITH the chair on. This really is a wonderful stroller at a great price for the class that it's in.
Perfect stroller! February 4, 2008 Working mother of two (Seattle, WA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I came across this stroller when looking for a "perfect" stroller for my second child. With my first we used rather traditional Graco and it was not something we liked much, but didn't think there were strollers out there to be light and comfortable to use for both parents and children. After we tried out Vista in the store I started thinking about it and reading reviews and decided to go for it. Boy, was it a smart decision! It is perfect for my to month old! We take long walks and he is so comfortable! And I have no trouble getting the stroller through different surfaces! In addition we just bought the Piggyback ride along board and it works wonderfull for my 40 lb 5 (almost 6) year old! All the parts in the stroller work great, switching between the pram and the seat is a breeze! And when folded the stroller does not take much space and can stand alone. I highly recommend this stroller! I never thought I'd even consider spending more than $200 on a stroller, but it's totally worth it for me now!
Great Stroller July 17, 2008 Jennifer B. (Minneapolis, MN) We recently purchased this instead of a Bugaboo Cameleon. So far we have been very happy with it. Love the huge basket, love that the seat is reversible, and it is very easy to open and fold shut(which you can do without removing the seat!). My only complaint would be that there are only three seat positions and the seat is never completely upright - so baby is always slightly reclined. Not sure if this will be an issue as she gets older.
love, love, LOVE it! November 6, 2008 ReviewMama (Norwood, MA) I purchased the 2009 Uppababy Vista after much research and obsession over strollers. I was looking for a versitile, durable stroller that would hold up over years of nearly daily walking. My 6 month old daughter is very happy in it. Here are some thoughts... Pros: 1) Maneuvarability!! This stroller rides like a dream. The foam tires, suspension, lightweight alumininum frame, and responsive steering make for a remarkably smooth ride. Bumps, cracks, gravel, etc, are no problem and will not wake a sleeping baby. Also, adjustable handle bar and curved lower frame bar make this stroller comfortable for people of all heights to push. My husband (6 ft) could not push my previous stroller (Graco stroller frame) because his feet were always hitting the bottom bar. We don't have that problem with the vista. 2) Stroller can grow with baby and family. The included bassinet is great. When baby gets older, you can replace it with the seat that can face toward you initiallly, and away from you as your baby is ready to see the world. It is a sinch to switch around. The seat is also very easy to recline without waking a baby who falls asleep in the upright position. Uppababy is also making a toddler seat (to be released in Spring 2009) that can be attached to the rear of the stroller, making it the second stroller ever to convert from a single to a double stroller. (Phil and Ted's is the first...but it is MUCH more cumbersome as a single stroller. It is more like a jogger and does not have nearly as nice a ride or as many features.) This was the selling feature for me. I figured I could justify spending the extra money on the Uppababy, since I won't have to buy a whole new stroller if I have another child. 3) Features and accessories. This stroller comes with a bug net, rain cover, and fabulous basket that is more easibly accessible in the 2009 model. 4) Easy to fold and fairly compact when folded. The only downside about folding is that the seat has to be in the front facing position in order to fold it with seat on. 5) Style. I actually am a bit embarassed by how sweet the vista looks! You may risk looking a bit yuppy-ish, but the stroller is very classy and sleak! I have it in Red ("Denny" ), which is a really nice red. Cons: 1) Price. As far as strollers go, this is on the pricey end. Again, if you are looking for a single stroller that can serve as a dual stroller down the line, then you should consider the 2009 model that will allow for the addition of a toddler seat. This might help justify the price. Also, comparing the Uppa to the Bugaboos, the vista is a much better value and I actually prefer the ride. 2) Fairly wide. Not wide enough to make a huge difference, but perhaps a bit wider than the average stroller. 3)Seat is still slightly reclined in the most upright position. I don't think this is a big deal, but it would have been nice to see a fourth, upright seating position. 4) No cup holder! Must be purchased separately. :~( Hope this helps. We love it and I think it's worth every penny spent.
