Good Investment! January 25, 2007 HUChickybaby (Washington, DC USA) 22 out of 22 found this review helpful
I absolutely recommend this infant seat! My son is almost 1 now and I am still using this seat. It is fabulous for it's fabric options of colors and most importantly for it's roominess. My son is on the chunky side, being an exclusively breastfed baby. He is still quite comfortable in this seat and I love being able to just attach him to the stroller as i walk my 4 year old into her her preschool. The travel system as a whole catches the eyes of many and I am always stopped by people saying.."what a ride!". Well it is, quite a ride. If you buy this car seat, it will last you for the entire FIRST YEAR of your baby's life. Thank you Graco!
WARNING!!! May 11, 2007 Rachel (Louisiana) 15 out of 74 found this review helpful
The latest, more vigorous crash tests have shown that nearly all infant car seats provide poor protection. Some seats snapped out of the bases and some of the LATCH belts broke. If you already purchased an infant car seat, it is safer to use it with the seat belt rather than LATCH (according to the crash test results). One of only two seats to perform satisfacorily was the original Graco Snugride. If you want the convenience of an infant car seat, this one is cheaper and very safe. If you are considering Graco Safe Seat because of the higher weight limit, please look at a convertible seat instead (Britax Roundabout is the best, although a little pricey).
the best infant car seat out there - period June 5, 2007 Athena (NJ) 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
For our first baby, we had a top-rated infant car seat made by Century. We did not like the fact that our baby was not leaning back properly and her head was always hanging to the front. Then we got the SnugRide as a hand-me down from a friend. It was ok, but outgrown too fast, so we lost the convenience of just taking her out of the car in the car seat instead of having to wake her up. LAst year we had our second baby and after using these two car seat for about a week (one on each car), my husband decided he hated them both and went and got this Safe Seat and two bases. Wow! What a difference. It is very comfortable. Our son fitted just right and seemed very comfortable. It is so easy to install and adjust. Our son is now 14 months, 31 inches long and 25 pounds and we are still happily using it... probably for another month when he reaches the limit. We are super happy with this purchase.
It's roomy. . . August 22, 2007 R. Zamora (Chicago) 5 out of 8 found this review helpful
I bought this carseat because it was roomy for my son. However, the carseat was too big to take shopping or restaurants. When my son was a newborn and I went shopping the carseat could not fit on the cart. At restaurants it would not fit in the high chair because it was wide for it to lock in. Also, I am 5'2 it is a heavy item and with the baby it feels even worse. I do like it on how comfortable it is for my son, since i am a mom on the go, I do not recommend it.
Great Carrier but really heavy June 24, 2007 Jennifer A. Russell (Kennewick, WA) 4 out of 9 found this review helpful
I had this seat in the color fusion. The baby fit great in it and seemed really comfortable. I loved not having to take him in and out of the carseat to shop. 3 months after he was born, he was 15 lbs. Add that to the already 10 lb carrier and man was I struggling to carry him. We ditched the carrier and went to a regular seat. I would probably buy it again if we were having another child but I'd really have to reconsider due to the weight of the empty carrier.
