Best stroller cover I'ver ever used!!! November 29, 2005 C. Wilson 23 out of 24 found this review helpful
I've purchased other rain covers for my stroller and none can compare to the protective covering and quality of the Protect-a-Bub cover - the material provides a snug fit with good ventilation - wonderful for protection from colder &/or windy weather as well as rain. This cover keeps my baby snug, warm, and dry - and also covers my belongings! BBRUS should carry it in the store, not just on line! Other covers (GRACO, ESP. Baby, etc..) are thinner & made from all clear plastic. They are also much shorter all around & tend to be stiffer - they just don't provide enough coverage (despite what the picture on the cover shows). This cover also folds neatly into a small pouch which can easily be stored in the stroller basket or hung from the handle for unexpected usage. I've also used it on a number of different stroller types and it is always a perfect fit! My friends all love it and people stop to ask me where I purchased it almost every time I use it!. One of the best stroller accessories I've ever purchased and the only cover I would ever use! I recently purchased the new Protect-a-Bub Snuggle Bub Stroller insert from the company site(their version of a Bundle Me Big) -they should carry it at BBRUS! This is the best stroller insert for cold weather I have tried (even better than Bundle Me Big and One Step Ahead Toddler Snuggly). It is made from natural lamb's wool (so it "breathes"), machine washable (air dry), and very roomy so it will last a long time (up to age 4 years, depending on the size of your child)!
Worth every penny! September 3, 2006 Lauren M. Martin (Frederick, MD USA) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
I absolutely love this cover. One of my favorite features is that the elastic bottom of the cover wraps around the footrest of my daughter's stroller, while other covers stay open and leave her feet to get soaked. Not with this one. It also keeps her blanket from dangling down and getting caught in the wheels. I can pull it out and attach it to the stroller in a few seconds, which is also another plus. It does an excellent job protecting her from the rain and the wind, and because it fits around her stroller so securely I don't have to worry about the plastic blowing in her face or flapping in the wind. Worth every penny.
We use it a lot February 9, 2007 LG (Boston, MA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We have a BumbleRide stroller that didn't come with a rain cover and they don't make one for it. So we got this and it works great. The best thing is that it is lighter than most of the ones I see in all the stores.
Rare: it even fits Evenflo strollers !! March 16, 2008 B. Charles (Boston, Ma, USA) I had been looking for a rain cover for my Evenflo stroller for months when I ordered this one. Evenflo does not make any rain cover, and their strollers have this so great one-hand handle, unfortunately right in the middle of the pushing bar, that does not allow you most of the rain covers... But living in Boston (Ma), without any car, I need a good rain cover. This one has strings at the top and bottom, which you can tie up exactly where you want. the bottom is also elastic, so you can adjust it to the bottom of your stroller. It is very easy to put on. Mine always stays on the stroller; it is so light and THIN I can fold the stroller without taking it off. It comes with such a small bag that you can actually leave it in the basket of your stroller. I also love the fact that the stroller stays pretty. Regular plastic rain covers always end up with huge holes, as the plastic does not like very low temperatures and tears up. the most part of it -but the window- being made of fabric (like igloo tents), there is no such problem. And it dries off in no time This Protect-a-bub is really a GREAT PRODUCT .
Good cover March 20, 2008 S. Maxey (RI, USA) I will just list the pros and the cons (my opinion, of course): Pros: folds very small and comes with a carrying pouch (which I never use because the cover stays folded once you fold it) windproof water resistant ( resistant doesn't mean proof! but so far that has been good enough for us- and we get lots of rain) velcro and ties as well as smocked front to keep the cover stay put. Cons: The velcro and the ties. the velcro in the back is too short. every time I pull on one side (for one reason or another) the other side just comes apart- longer velcro strips would fix that , or an entirely wider back panel wouldn't cause such tension. stronger wind gets in at the back as well but doesn't really do much harm; it's just bothersome that this also causes the strips to loose grip. the ties. as the word says you have to tie them. multiply that by four and it gets harder. But having to get baby in and out makes it downright enerving to do it- because now you're doing the whole thing 2 or more times depending on how often you have to stop somewhere. I will acually attach some velcro strips onto the ties to make this faster. The lightweight fabric of this cover and the stylish look most definitely outweigh the cons. Best one I've owned so far. The ties and short velcro strips are the reason for the one missing star. Other than that it is great.
