4 out of 5 stars Good lightweight stroller   April 2, 2007

I decided to purchase this stroller because it a) had the right price point b)looked cool c) folded small d)was lightweight

I was a little worried about buying something without reviews from a company I'd never heard of...but so far so good.

I've been using it for 2 weeks now and am generally satisfied.

It really does fold amazingly flat pretty easily. There are, of course, some tricks to master. But once you do it's quick. BUT it definitely takes 2 hands. there is no way of doing it 1 handed - period. to date, the only stroller to do that was the Inglesina Zippy.

It rolls over uneven sidewalks very well and is very stable.

The handlebars are fixed. They're comfortable for me at 5'5", but might be less so for someone significantly shorter or taller.

The undercarriage storage is basically nonexistent (as you can see from the picture) it's good for a couple of medium sized stuffed animals and not much more. I hang a net storage bag from the handlebars to augment storage. the carriage still folds with it on.

It does have 2 levels of recline. But they're not very reclined. But my [...]daughter has already taken a couple of naps in it so I guess it reclines enough to get the job done.

One of the prongs broke off the harness clip the first day I used the carriage. That's annoying. But the harness still works fine, so it's not the end of the world.

Overall, the price:performance ratio is good. And I'm glad we chose this one over some of the more typical umbrella carriages.

For reference, I have 2 kids and I've had several carriages over the last 4 years... I used to have a MacClaren Volo - but so did nearly everyone else and it didn't recline or manage uneven terrain very well. I also still have a large 3 wheeled Zooper, but it basically doesn't fold. I need the entire back of my SUV to carry it and nothing else - not practical. I also had an Inglesina Zippy that folded wonderfully one-handed and had a basssinet feature...but it was fairly heavy and overkill for what I wanted now plus it was fairly expensive.

4 out of 5 stars good travel stroller   May 7, 2007

We bought this stroller because we were flying with our 10-month-old and did not want to take our stroller on the plane - for fear of loss or breaking. It folds down small enough to fit into the overhead compartment and folds open and closes very easily. It maneuvers okay, not great. Overall, I would recommend this stroller, but only as a travel or second stroller.

3 out of 5 stars Stroller decent but had to return it   December 14, 2007

I purchased the Summer Infant QuickSmart Stroller for a trip. My guess is that most people who are interested in this stroller buy it for the ability to travel on airplanes with it. The problem is that LxWxH measures about 52". The plane limitation for my trip was 45". Thus, it exceeded the maximum volume requirement. I called the Company and the person who picked up the phone could not confirm that it would fit in airplane overhead bins. The stoller itself seems like a great design; however, the bag is so flimsy, it basically cannot be used. Unfortunately, I purchased the stroller to fit in an overhead airplane bin and based on the failure to fit in overhead bins, along with the poorly constructed bag, forced me to return the item. Amazon.com was excellent and credited my account for the return.
