This mushroom is much softer than the other Under the Nile organic cotton stuffed toys that we own (Under the Nile Organic Cotton Carrot Under the Nile Organic Cotton Dog. It is cusy and not over-stuffed. The fabric is a nice terr-cloth. I bought this mushroom for my son to sleep with because I wanted a healthier organic cotton "stuffed animal" to replace his little tylux teddy bear, and the Under the Nile products were the cheapest. The mushroom is only about 5 inches in height, but my 9 month old likes to sleep with it. He does not like the Under the Nile dog or carrot.

This is the only Under the Nile vegetable I own. I think it's cute. It is indeed soft. But my 6 mo. old did not show interest in it from the beginning and still hasn't taken any interest 2 weeks later. Maybe it is b/c the colors are boring and not bright enough to catch her attention and b/c it doesn't really do anything. It is nice that it is machine washable. But I think this toy ended up being more for me than her. I haven't decided whether to try any of the other ones.

I got the veggie basket that my son is not quite old enough to play with yet, but we keep the veggies in his crib so he can chew on them and slobber them up without them falling on the floor. We always tell him to "eat your vegetables!"
