Product Description Little teethers can happily ease their discomfort with butterfly wings. The Sassy Teething Wing Butterfly helps to soothe tender gums with its various textures -- one wing is chewy and nubby, the other is hard with ridges and bumps. Easy to grasp and brightly colored, this is one butterfly you will want to keep for your collection.
Editorial Review Since babies primarily explore the tactile world with their fingers and mouths, this "teething wing" offers comfort as well as stimulation. The various wing textures, such as bumpy, smooth, and rippled, are fun for babies to experience as they also seek out teething comfort through biting. One of the wings is water-filled, so when the teether is placed in the refrigerator (not the freezer) the water gets cold. Then, as babies bite on the water wing the coolness numbs and soothes the gums. The back of the package features "instructions from the baby" to adults on how to play with this butterfly, such as "Talk to me about this little butterfly. Tell me that the red wing is soft and nubby and the purple wing is hard with ridges and bumps. I love to hear your voice." --Hannah Reynolds

Early Teething November 3, 2007 KJR2 (Germantown, MD United States) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
My son started teething early (3 months) and he was not yet able to control his movements enough to chew on teething objects. He was however able to grab things and this butterfly was so easy for him to pick up. The one wing is like a handle and it easy for him to move and light enough for him to get to his mouth. As the days go by he is finally able to chew on it for a few seconds before he loses the control. He is still unable or uninterested in doing this with any other teething toy. Plus he somehow finds the butterfly entertaining. A+ for a young teether.
Great Teether! June 15, 2008 T. Ellis (Phoenix, AZ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My daughter is 14 months, and she still uses this chewer. We bought it when she was about 4 months, when she started sucking on her toys, and she has always loved it.
