Amazon.com Hands-On Review For most kids, taking a bath is all fun and games
until it's time for shampooing. Granted, leaning back into the unknown, getting suds in the eyes, allowing Mom or Dad to pour cups full of water over your head, or banging your noggin on the faucetnone of this would be on a grownup's list of favorite things to do, either. So kids and parents will both be tremendously relieved to discover Flo, a water deflector and faucet cover that turns a regular bathtub faucet into a gentle, safe waterfall. Children won't mind leaning back into the soft spray of water, especially since the rubbery material of the deflector will make any inadvertent bumps pain-free. However, the chance of bumps is much less because Flo redirects the downward stream of water out and away from the faucet. The entire shampooing process will take place many inches away from the source of most injuries. No need for bathers to contort their bodies anymore to get directly under the flow. Best of all (for image-conscious parents), Flo is handsomely designed, sleek and stylishno yellow duckies here! When it's time for a grownup shower, the shower diverter remains accessible through the upper portion of the faucet cover, so you won't need to remove it after every bath. Let It Flo Installation of the Flo couldn't be easier. Just squeeze the top and bottom sections together and fit over bathtub faucet. Make sure the front of the faucet extends over the inside flap, and that the shower diverter is accessible through the top opening. Bubbles, With Little Toil or Trouble A one-touch bubble bath dispenser releases liquid bubble soap into the flow of water, ensuring a tub full of fluffy, foamy fun. Pour liquid bubble bath into the reservoir at the top end of the Flo, then press the green button on the lower end where the water comes out. Pros Kids of all ages will love playing in the soothing spray from the deflector, and will be far less likely to resist a shampoo rinse when it's under a "waterfall." Flo's simple design is attractive to grownups and children alike. Cons Although the cover is designed to fit easily over any standard bathtub faucets, there are definitely some faucets that it will fit betteror worsethan others. The Flo is easy to attach
but it can be fairly easy to remove, too, which is not always ideal when it's a curious one-year-old doing the detaching. The bubble dispenser does not always work optimally, but presumably that's not what most parents will be looking for in a protective cover/water deflector, anyway. And with some engineering (a.k.a. wiggling the cover around), the bubble dispenser issues can often be resolved. --Emilie Coulter
Product Description Flo provides a simple solution to bath-time challenges. This unique product diverts the flow of water, creating a gentle waterfall, while providing a protective faucet cover to guard against injury. Flo also functions as a bubble bath dispenser.Simply attach this handy device to the bath tub faucet with the included spring-activated grip -- requires no assembly or special installation. When the water is turned on, it's diverted into a stream that extends up to 12" in front of the faucet, creating a gentle waterfall that makes rinsing your hair easy. The soft material on the front edge of Flo helps protect against injuries caused by bumping or scraping against the faucet. Parents can fill the bubble bath reservoir and let children dispense bubbles into the water by pressing the button on the front. Measures 7 1/4" x 4" x 3".

Not perfect, but good item! January 14, 2007 J. L. Callahan (Little Elm, TX United States) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
First the bad : we have a standard Moen tub faucet. The Flo doesn't *quite* sit right on the faucet, so we have to play with it a bit to get all the water to go down the slope, rather than out the back of the Flo. But it's not really a big deal, just takes a bit of adjusting. The good : My daughter (11 months old) loves to play with the water coming from the faucet. The Flo allows her to sit a little further back (thus sparing me stress every time she gets a little tippy!), and she also really delights in the waterfall effect. When she gets older, I think the bubble bath dispenser will be more appreciated. Speaking of which, other reviewers have mentioned the bubble bath leaking out -- I have seen a few drops in the "scoop" under the faucet, but nothing major. It's been on a week, and I've yet to need to refill it. I haven't had any problems with mess with this either. Even when I didn't have it adjusted just right and water was washing backwards under the faucet, it didn't go everywhere, it just ran down the tub side (INSIDE the tub). If it wasn't for the slightly finicky adjustment necessary, I'd have given this 5 stars!
Conflicted... December 7, 2006 Angela Helms (MCAS Iwakuni, Japan) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
If this would fit my oversized faucet, I'd be giving it all 5 stars! I think it's a great product, and my kids loved it...while I had the patience to hold it onto our faucet. Unfortunately, that grew old rather quickly, and now it's in the box awaiting our move to a new house--hopefully one with a more modern and dainty bathtub faucet. Go to the Boon Inc website, and you can find info on the faucet type that the Flo will fit. They have a new design that will fit more narrow faucets more tightly now (tighter spring); unfortunately that doesn't help me... I gave it 4 stars because it's not entirely the fault of the product that it doesn't fit MY faucet.
Great Concept But Terrible Execution October 4, 2006 Michelle D. (Baton Rouge, LA) 5 out of 8 found this review helpful
The upside... I loved my Frog Pod that I got from this company and saw this product on their web site and was really excited about it. And I love the fact that 10% of profits goes to children's charities. I waited 4 months for the Flo to finally come out and ran to the store as soon as they put it on the shelves. The idea was great! The open top was just what I needed for my shower lever. The down side... I clipped the Flo to my faucet and filled it with bath bubbles the night before we actually used it. The next night it was empty. All the bubbles had slowly leaked out and gone down the drain. Well, I thought that's not TOO bad and I will just use bubbles like before. It's still an OK product, I can keep using it. I put my baby in the tub and turned on the water... WATER WENT ALL OVER MY BATHROOM FLOOR! The Flo spread the water so wide that it had gone over the edge of my bathtub. I tried tilting it down and up to see if I got any better results and I did for a minute until the water pressure made it go back to the original position again. Conclusion... If I want to continue using the Flo, I cannot make use of the bubble dispenser and I have use the shower curtain to keep myself and my floor dry. All in all, it's not worth it to me. I was really let down by Boon on this one.
Love this!!!! December 26, 2006 Amanda Hughens (Surprise, AZ) 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
I bought this a few weeks ago because my 12 month daughter loves baths and is more interested in chasing her ducks around than sitting still to be scrubbed. I had horrible images of her slamming her head or mounth into the metal faucet so I bought this mainly for safety. It fits perfectly on my faucet and provides a softer barrier in case she does chase one of her ducks underneath. She also loves the waterfall action and that keeps her further out from the water. Since she still tries to drink the bathwater, I have not used the soap function but for us the safety factor pays for itself and the the rest is all icing on the cake!
Finally something that works for our faucet! September 28, 2006 Phaeton (St. Louis, MO) 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
I love this thing! I have been searching for over a year for a durable faucet cover that allows us to still use the shower pull option. It is so easy to install & use. And my daughter loves the waterfall effect. GREAT!!!
