great toy! September 12, 2008 CD mom My son got this as a gift for his first birthday and he looooves it! i love the blocks and the fact that there are 3 diff kinds, soft, rubber and wood. the lids are specifically designed so as not to jam little fingers. it does move faster on wooden floors but i wouldnt say its too fast. my son is only learning to walk and doesnt have a problem with the speed on wooden floors. it is easy to climb on it and get hurt but as with most other toys if u keep an eye on your child, you wont have that problem. i would def recommend this toy!
Paint comes off wooden blocks July 1, 2008 A. Schwartz 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We purchased my son the Around the Block Walker that is distributed by the Parents company. The wooden blocks that came with the walker contain painted images and the paint comes off on the other blocks and on our hands. I called the company to file an official complaint and was told they would send me the same set of blocks as a replacement. When I explained why that DIDN'T make sense they stated that was their policy. Well the same set of blocks arrived and I just finished washing off the paint that is again getting all over everything. It should be noted they are not near a heat source. When I called this time they told me I would need to pay to ship the second set back - that being their policy. I am seriously irritated.
Great Walker June 6, 2008 K. Hodgins (Irvine, CA) I recieved this walker as a baby shower gift. It is an amazing, versatile toy. When my son was about 3 months mold, we would take out three blocks, one cloth, one rubber and one wooden and let him play with each, and let him explore the differnt textures. Now at 8 months old, he is finally make use of the walker and the bead maze. He is trying to pull himself up and it doesn't tip. Also, the handle is padded so if he does fall and bump him head, it doesn't hurt. He does like to climb on it, so it does require supervision. However, I don't believe i know of any toy that doesn't require supervision. As soon as my son started crawling he showed a preference for this toy. He is always crawling over to it, playing with it. I can't wait to see him walk with it. Wonderful toy! I highly recommend and LOVE IT!
GREAT! May 9, 2008 J. Dewey (VA) My 11 month old LOVES the Around the Block Walker. The product is sturdy and doesn't "get away from her" when she pushes it.
Awesome, sturdy and fun February 24, 2008 sdb (PA) This product is the BEST one I have found. I am on my third child and this is the only walking toy that does not tip over or fall from under them. The only down side is the baby cannot steer it any way but forward. Pricey, but a great toy.
