Amazon.com Product Description Essentially a scaled-down motocross bike with an electric motor, the Razor MX350 Dirt Rocket is ideal for pre-teens and teens (ages 12 and up) who want to enjoy the dirt bike experience without breaking the bank. At the same time, the bike's dual suspension and riser handlebars deliver a smooth and comfortable ride regardless of the terrain, so your child's fun isn't restricted to flat pavement. As a final bonus, the Dirt Rocket's variable-speed, chain-driven motor is extremely quiet, a marked contrast to traditional gas-powered motocross bikes. Great starter dirtbike for a small kid. January 14, 2007 J. David Sims (Lancaster, SC) 61 out of 64 found this review helpful
I purchased four of these at the same time. I have three six year olds and an eight year old. The assembly was pretty quick and easy. Most of the bike is together right out of the box but it took about 30 minutes to get the rest together. The bikes go pretty fast to be electric. The claim to go about 14mph and I'd say thats about right. I have a golf cart and I couldn't keep up with the bikes with it. There pretty sturdy as well. I've only had the bikes for a few weeks and they've been dropped and crashed numerous times and they keep on going. I did have one of the bikes that didn't work and Amazon was great at getting it shipped back to them and refunded (although the refund took about two weeks). The bikes will hold even the bigger boys with little problem, but don't expect to get the same top end speed and run time as with the lighter kids. I even rode it a couple of times and I weigh 188lbs (but its not really supposed to have more than 140lbs person on it...lol) It takes about 5 hours to charge (depending on the current charge of the battery). You can expect to get about 45 minutes from a single charge. My eight year old gets several minutes less than one of my lighter six year olds. In summary, I am satisfied with the item. It is exactly as the company describes. You really can't beat it for the price. My kids have great fun on them and I didn't have to fork over $800-$1000 for a gas powered dirt bike. I hope this helps someone in deciding on this purchase.
Watch out Product has Changed.....NO SUSPENSION! November 7, 2007 Redcboats (Michigan, United States) 37 out of 39 found this review helpful
Ohhhhh, what a disappointment we had today. My son has been saving every dollar for over a year to buy this electric offroad bike. Based on all the reviews and pictures, I was sure this was going to be a great bike for him. Well, much to my surprise, we unpacked the box and found a bike very unlike the pictures or descriptions. First, and most important, a solid frame. WHAT?! Not front or rear suspension as shown in the pics or the descriptions. Second, no front disc brake as shown in the pictures and even on the video on Razor's website. Third, the packaging was insufficient and severely damaged when we got the box. No foam supports like in the video on Razor's website, just a couple of cardboard blocks. Fourth, it doesn't work. Charged it up, turned it on, NADA! Nothing. Light turns on, wheel doesn't go. I'm very disappointed, as is my son. Clearly Razor has taken a turn for the cheap on this bike since the last review. We'll be returning this one and trying to find an older model that still has all the features we thought we were buying. UPDATE*** Just got off the phone with Razor and have official confirmation that all suspension has been remove from this model. Don't believe the product description here or anywhere else that it has suspension. Very deceiving if you ask me. And a corporate money pinching move that undermines their reputation if you ask me. UPDATE2*** Amazon took this back no questions asked and paid the shipping. I went on Craigslist and was lucky enough to find a brand new older model. Bought that one and my son just LOVES it. I don't know how you could ride this without the suspension though. He rockets all over our property with it. So Razor definitely messed up a perfect product. What a shame. You might be able to find an old demo model at some sporting goods stores. I saw one on the shelf at Dunhams that still had suspension on it. But they will be hard to find. Good luck!
Not bad for the yard! August 30, 2005 My Fun Stuff (Western KY) 29 out of 30 found this review helpful
Bought this for my 4 year old son, he is a good rider and learned to ride without training wheels this summer. I had him start out on the power wheels mini bike which worked out well. First of all, it did not look exactly like the box it came in, ours sits a little lower to the ground and the battery cover and a few frame details were different? Anyway, it looks cool, especially to the neighborhood kids. Rear suspension works pretty well, not much travel but it works, Front is useless however. There is practically no movement whatsoever. It doesn't have much low end power but gets my lightweight son going pretty good. It is pretty fast on top end, too fast for him so I make him go slow. The brake is not easy for little hands, should have put a foot brake on. Seems pretty durable, easy to charge and goes really well in the yard. Doesn't have enough power to stop at the bottom of a moderate hill and climb it without getting a run at it. It would be too small for a kid over say 12 to have any fun on. More suited to most 6-10 year olds wanting an easy way to learn how to ride. Fairly good value for the money, better than those useless pocketbikes that won't go in the grass. Little kids don't need to be in the street anyway. (my opinion!) The minimoto looks to be a better and bigger bike, and the red razor looks to have front and rear disc brakes, but for my size kid this works great. I wouldn't spend $500 on an electric minimoto anyway, you can get a real gas dirtbike for that.
Razor Sucks! September 5, 2005 2boysmom (Pensacola, FL) 20 out of 35 found this review helpful
If you are unsure about purchasing this item, I urge you to please read some of the reviews on other Razor products. You will find numerous complaints about this company. After reading all the problems people have had with other Razor products and chargers, I can't believe they continue to sell their crappy products. We spent over a hundred bucks on a Razor Electric Scream Machine for my son last year for Christmas. He's ridden it maybe 5 times since then, because the charger fails after a few uses. After tracking someone down at Razor (their customer service sucks as bad as their products), they sent us a new charger. Used it once, then that quit on us. Tried to get our money back, but they said they will only reimburse for taking it to a repair shop. What a pain, what a disappointment, what a waste of money. Don't expect them to stand behind any of their products. They don't have anyone at their company to talk to when you call. You must leave a message, and wait for them to get around to calling you. By the way, the Electric Scream Machine is no longer on the market. They make their money selling their defective products, then pull them from the shelves knowing they're defective, but won't refund a dime to their customers. They are [...].

Hi everyone! At first I was a little worried about the age factor on this product. Our son that is 6 is a pretty coordinated and has been riding a 2 wheeler since he was 4 1/2 so, we decided we would give this a shot. WOW!! I am so glad that we did, he Loves it!!! Honestly, I think a child 11 plus would be to big for this toy. The speed of this toy is very good. Not too fast and not a putt putt. About some of the other written review's you have read about the bad batteries.. we have had NO problems what so ever. We charge it overnight when it gets low and then he can ride it for a very very long time before needing to be charged again. This is a GREAT product and I would recommed it to anyone with a child that enjoys this type of outdoor play!!! Happy Mom in Missouri
