Best Friends Animal Society is the world's largest no-kill organization. Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, located in the beautiful Utah desert, about 50 miles away from the Grand Canyon, is located in a place called Angel Canyon, in Kanab, Utah.
Angel Canyon is a place of love. It is a place where all living souls come together to love, and to be loved.
It is a place where the human ego, responsible for murdering 5 million animals in "shelters" every year, does not exist. Instead, it is a place where Animals can be safe from harm and pain and suffering and death. Where animals are treated as equals among the caring humans who work and volunteer at the Sanctuary.
If you want to see love, in pure physical form, please visit the Sanctuary.
If you want to feel love, in the depths of your heart and soul, please visit the Sanctuary.
If you want to see the most amazing sunrises and sunsets that you have ever seen, please visit the Sanctuary.

This DVD "Dogtown" is about Best Friends Animal Society and how everyone there dedicates their lives to saving all of the beautiful, precious animals who need their help.

This coming Fall (September 2008) the National Geographic Channel will premiere MORE shows from Best Friends, and this time, the "Michael Vick dogs" will be featured.
Supposed animal loving groups such as PETA, the HSUS, etc. called for the deaths of the Vick dogs.
Not one to give in to the political status quo of "kill em' and forget em", Best Friends decided to save the lives of the Vick dogs, and rehabilitate them so that they could eventually end up in loving homes.
That's why the name BEST FRIENDS Animal Society isnt just a name...it is a way of life.
You cannot be a cat's or a dog's, or a bunny's "best friend" if you kill them.
You can only be a "best friend" when you love, save and protect. And that is what Best Friends does.

Best Friends is an amazing place and the DVD is great. I hope it helps bring to light this wonderful sanctuary. You can buy this DVD (for only a couple bucks more plus postage) on the Best Friends.org website and proceeds will benifit this great sanctuary.
