Amazon.com From the first cock-a-doodle-doo to the last twinkling little star, A Day at Old MacDonald's Farm pulses joyfully with song, dance, and a barnyard full of activity. A passel of city kids arrives for a taste of sunny country life. Before night falls, they make a scrumptious breakfast, do chores around the mulberry bush, attend school with Mary's little lamb, and whoop it up at the old ball game. Their field-trip hosts include a high-stepping scarecrow, Gran and Gramps McDonald, and the usual four-legged farmy suspects. Together, this energetic cast belts out 10 perennial favorites, including "Skip to My Lou," "This Old Man," and, of course, the title song. A funky rock & roll score keeps the excitement building as one song piggybacks on the next. This delightful 30-minute show, produced in 1985, easily should appeal to little music lovers ages 7 and under. --Liane Thomas

I LOVE IT!!!! December 29, 2001 Dwayne Lightsey Jr. (Maryland) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
This video not only keeps children, ages 1-5 entertained, but ages 10-20 also. I am 18 years old and I still love this video. I don't know what happened to my copies, but I have to order more. I love all of the songs, but my most favorite one on this video is "Shortenin' Bread."Sing it if you know it: Mike and Mary love Shortnin' shortnin' Mike and Mary love Shortnin' Bread. I strongly recommend: A Day On Old MacDonald's Farm A Day W/ The Animals Very Silly Songs
Best video ever! January 24, 2002 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
My 19 month old son stops for nothing...except this video. He was mesmerized from the first time he saw it, and he begs to watch it at least once a day. We have other videos that we've borrowed, but he doesn't even act like they're on. Old MacDonald's Farm is great! Kids, songs, animals, dancing...it's got it all! I highly recommend this to anyone with kids!
A winner! December 25, 2003 jiandmoy (Forest Hills, NY) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
My 1 year old twins generally need to watch a new video at least twice before they like it but they were enthralled by this video from the beginning. Perhaps it is because they were already familiar with some of the songs, and perhaps it is also because they see lots of children singing in the video. Whatever the reasons, my girls really enjoy this video, and personally I think it is great too, and very suitable for the little ones. I highly recommend this video to anyone with infants and young children.
And people said Barney was painful to watch! July 2, 2003 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
We laugh at this video every time it's on. It's often hard to look at the television set. The scarecrow is creepy and the whole thing is sooooo cheesy! BUT, my son has LOVED it from the first moment he saw it at a friend's house. He started watching it at age 1 and still loves it at age 2. Unbelievable.
Kids love this one! August 11, 2001 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This video will keep kids from 1-5 years old entertained from beginning to end. The songs are old favorites and the animals add interest for the kids.
