Amazon.com Product Reviews
The Safety 1st Sound N' Lights is a truly versatile activity center and walker. It has three adjustable heights for a growing baby to discover and explore. The five whimsical toys and 12 fanciful songs, lights, and sounds will entertain baby and hone their motor skills with interactive play. But don't worry, the activity tray is easily removed to sport a spacious snack area underneath. The plush cloth padding is colorful, removable, and, best of all, machine washable. The walker glided smoothly on carpet and linoleum and the grip strips helped to impede movement on disparate surfaces and stairs. The Safety 1st Sound N' Lights will have you, and baby, humming and chuckling with glee.

Ridiculous... November 26, 2006 L. Mckenna (Denton, TX United States) 22 out of 23 found this review helpful
This walker is very poor quality. The "entertainment" features are pitiful - the most exciting part being a wheel that partially turns. The saddest part of this walker is that the battery cannot be changed (at least as far as the 4 adults, one being an engineer, in my house can figure). My husband even drilled holes in the thing trying to figure out how to change the battery - only to find the battery that it comes with is irreplaceable. It is frustrating because the music just warbles out now on it's dying battery. Very sad being I've only had this walker for 2 months. In sum - DO NOT PURCHASE!!!!
WE FIGURED OUT HOW TO CHANGE THE BATTERIES! May 26, 2007 Katrina Manis (Missouri USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I love the fact that this walker folds down for storage. And you can't beat the price but to change the batteries on this thing is a pain to say the least! My husband used a 1/4 inch open end-boxed end wrench with a phillips head screwdriver bit to remove the screws on each side of the steering wheel. The one in the center is for the light which can be changed too. Once you are inside the steering wheel(Congrats by the way!) remove the two screws on the inside and turn this piece over to reveal the batteries. It takes four lithium batteries. I don't know the size as of it. I read reviews saying the battery was souldered into place. The only thing I can figure is she was trying to remove the speaker. I hope this helps!
too big STILL July 13, 2007 J. M. Ricks (New Braunfels, TX USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
My son is 6 months old and can barely reach the floor. He is normal height and weight, but has a longer upper body (like me!) I bought this thinking that since you can adjust the height, it would work. The lowest setting is still slightly too high. Not impressed. Kinda boring. Maybe we can start using it in a few weeks, but for now, I wish I had bought something else.
Would definately recommend this walker! March 8, 2007 Webby (Staten Island, NY) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
My baby just turned four months when I ordered this walker in February. Although the pediatrician recommended no walkers at this age, I used my judgement and decided since our home was one level, and I am home all day, I could watch my baby safely while he was in the walker. When the walker arrived, I read the instructions and assembled the walker in 20 minutes. I place him in the walker and used some baby blankets to help prop his trunk muscles so he could sit upright. He didn't cry and this was all new to him. I pushed, pulled him until he told me he was tired. He's now five months and can propel himself backwards and side to side in small steps. He hasn't moved forward too much, but of course that will change. In short, this walker is safe, durable and resonable priced. The colors and rocket shape is a bit funky retro. I did remove two items off the "control panel", the two arched movable toys, because it was too much. The nice thing as well as the control panel comes off completely to reveal a tray. The seat also easily detaches and just throw it in the washer/dryer. Rest of the walker can be cleaned by wiping with soap and water. There are three height level adjustments to the walker. And the walker collapes for storage. To summerize, I would definately recommend this walker, for it's durablility, practicality and to increase motor skills, perception for the baby.
A little chintzy, but an excellet value. April 6, 2007 N. Bianco (Cornwall, NY United States) I needed a walker for my very active 6 month old son, and this was the hit that just keeps on comin'. He loves the little spinners and the adjustable height is great for a fast growing boy. It's a little cheap looking, though - and the music on the steering wheel scared the sin out of him because it's VERY loud and then it just stopped working completely. Overall, three out of a five and it's a great value.
