Good Deal at First... January 20, 2008 L. M. Chavez 20 out of 20 found this review helpful
We bought this stroller when we were expecting our twins. (Based on input from another multiple mom who couldn't stop raving about it). We were happy with the stroller for the first several months. However, there were things about the stroller that DEFINITELY need to be improved: 1) The basket underneath started dragging on the ground after just a few uses (with light toys stored underneath). 2) The front wheels started getting caught in the basket when we would open the stroller...which is happening almost everytime we open it now. 3) The harnesses are SUCH a pain. They should have made them similar to the harness that they use for the car seats that accompany this stroller. 4) If you don't remove the front tray EVERY time before folding down the stroller, it gets scratched up easily. 5) As our children got older, the stroller became harder to maneuver. One of the reasons I wanted this stroller was that I was told how easy it was to turn with one hand. However, my children are only 18 & 21 lbs., and it's already difficult to turn the stroller. 6) The weight. It is definitely one of the heavier strollers. However, I've gotten used to that. 7) Only two seat adjustments on the back seat. All the way reclined, or all the way up. So, all in all, this was a good 'first' stroller for twins...but not something that we can use for much longer. It did maneuver well at first, but no longer.
What a super double deal! September 15, 2007 R. Musick (Los Angeles, CA) 16 out of 17 found this review helpful
After reading the reviews and comparing it with more expensive and sleek looking strollers and to its own Graco Quattro Duo stroller, I am SO glad I decided on this one! I already own the single Graco Quattro Duo stroller and loved it SO much, that I really wanted to stay w/Graco if I could. At first, I was unsure if the frame looked as sturdy as the one I had because the back wheels aren't as large as my solo Quattro Deluxe. I really put my single stroller through everything, so I wanted to make sure it was built to speed. So, I called Graco's customer service and they explained all the measurements to me so that I could compare, and since wheeling it around town, everything seems alright. The reason I didn't purchase the more expensive double Graco Quattro Tour Duo was b/c I wasn't sure it was going to fit in the trunk of my Honda Civic '05, I didn't really like the tray attached, and the weight was slightly heavier. Like my single Graco stroller, I like this one because: 1)I have the snack/cup and full tray available, and a tray for my own goodies. 2)It is easy to steer and manuever ( I can hold my infant and still steer my 30 lb., 2 1/2 year old w/ONE hand! 3)There is roomy storage space underneath. 4)It folds up fairly easy. (sometimes I need to adjust the wheels or fold the front canopy forward. 5)Fits perfectly in the trunk of my '05 Honda Civic.(with a bit of room behind it to spare) 6)Easy enough to lift into my trunk on my own.(I'm petite and not a muscular woman by any means, but any double stroller isn't expected to be light enough) 7)Feels sturdy and secure enough to ride on the sidewalk to dirt pathways. But, there are a couple things I was disappointed about: 1)Maybe I don't have the movement down, but I always have trouble lifting /undoing my Snugride Infant seat from the rear seat tray area. And putting it IN the stroller can be a pain b/c you have to first make sure the seat is fully reclined, and then slide the carseat all the way to the back of the canopy, and then snap it in while your infant is in the seat. So, it's just a bit tricky, and taxing on your back. And once in place, you have to make sure the handle is at 45 degrees or else your front seated toddler is going to hit his head on the carseat handle. 2)The front seat for my 30lb., 34 1/2" tall, 2 1/2 year old toddler seems small and uncomfortable although he is not complaining about it. If he slouches on the seat, his bottom is already halfway off the seat. And the backrest is not tall enough to completely support his head. (it's about 2"short. My solo Graco's seat was tall enough to support his head and body.)And sometimes I have to prop his feet up on the footstand when he falls asleep. Overall, I do love this stroller, and it looks WAY more sportier and updated than in this picture on Amazon. The trim is this dotted, checkered looking pattern. So glad I didn't spend the extra $100 on the Quattro Tour Duo! MOney well spent on this one!
Great Stroller July 6, 2007 Katie435 14 out of 16 found this review helpful
I have a special needs 2 & 1/2 year old who needs to be in a stroller for longs walks or trips to the mall/store. I've also just had a baby. I needed a double stroller to take them both out and after research and price checks, I chose this one. There is plenty of room for my 2 & 1/2 year old in the front and the car seat by Graco fits into the back great. When the new baby is ready, there will be tons of room for him in the back too. It rides nicely and is easy to push and turn. Great product!
worst stroller ever April 5, 2008 kmstew2 6 out of 15 found this review helpful
'Engineered' apparently by people who never had kids. I have twins and this is a disaster every time we go out. I dread going out simply because the stroller is so horrible to use. 1) HEAVY. Make sure you start weight training NOW if you ever expect to use this stroller. The latch folding system is terrible and usually doesn't work. 2) SAFETY ISSUE: the Snugride car seat is supposed to strap in to the stroller, however, the stroller straps are DEFECTIVE and too short to hold the car seat in. Whatever 'genius' designed this must've graduated from Idiot School of Engineering. He or she obviously never had kids or even parent tested this. They should have designed some sort of clip in system. 3) The rear car sear only 'snaps' into the stroller about 50% of the time. The rest of the time you just manhandle it and pray it stays in. 4) the 'directions' - if you can call them that - absolutely s&*!*(ck. Like, try writing some English words to go with the stupid pictures. My friend and I - who between use have 5 master's degrees - couldn't figure them out. Three calls to the 'customer service line' didn't help, either. Absolutely the worst $199 I ever spent in my life. I just want to throw this stupid stroller off a cliff. And people with TWINS have no time to fool with an idiot product. Ought to be recalled immediately. There is absolutely nothing that is 'user friendly' about this stroller.
The worst baby product I bought! January 2, 2008 A reviewer (United States) 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
I can't believe this is still being sold. I bought this stroller when my 2nd daughter came along, because we trusted the Graco name, and we really like our Graco single stroller. This stroller was obviously not designed by the same stroller design team. It has so many problems, where do I start?! 1. You need 2 hands to unfold the stroller and to recline the seat. Not ergonomically sound when you have a baby in one arm. 2. Brakes require 2 steps, a step on the left side and a step on the right side. 3. The basket has already torn on me and I hardly use it because it's so hard to access your stuff once you put them in it. 4. The pivot point for opening/closing the basket is formed by 2 hooks (???) that does not stay in place, and can get hooked onto other parts of the stroller. 5. The canopy of the front seat slips out too easily. No wonder you see a lot of parents just take it out altogether. 6. When you put an infant seat in the back seat and close the canopy of both the infant seat and the stroller, there is no ventilation for the baby :O :O They should have use mesh material for part of the canopy as they did for my single stroller 7. The front tray gets in the way of you collapsing the stroller, so it never really sits flat when collapsed. You see a lot of parents take this tray out altogether too. One advantage it does have over my single stroller is that, with its small wheels, it's more maneuverable. I think they have come out with a newer version, maybe that would be a better buy. This one, a very badly designed piece.
