| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Solar Rx is designed to offer the maximum physical protection from UVA & SPF 30 for UVB burning rays without using a chemical sunscreen. We recommend reapplying at least every two hours* on the face neck and hands. Intense sun conditions require even more frequent application. UV index ratings of 8 and above for average skin can require application as much as every 15 minutes as tested using a UV meter. This is not a product for sun bathing, extreme hot weather sports or swimming. Keys Solar Rx is featured on the Environmental Working Group Skin Deep Report as one of the safest sunscreen on the market. Key Solar Rx is featured as the most effective non-waterproof category sunblock for UVA and UVB in the Consumer Reports July issue. It is rare to find a product that is both safe to use and effective. Keys Solar Rx carries a UVB (UV Burning) rating of < SPF 30 and a UVA (UV Aging) of four stars using the EU rating system. High SPF rated chemical sunscreens will prevent burning, but often do little to provide UVA protection. Solar Rx combines the healing soothing properties of Keys Luminous moisturizer and adds a 16% concentration of uncoated nano-zinc oxide to provide a physical UVA & UVB blocking to protect against UV triggered Melanoma and Skin Cancer. Their nano-zinc oxide (ZnO) is uncoated to provide healing therapies associated with zinc oxide. The uncoated zinc has also proven to be anti-bacterial and antimicrobial and can reduce redness, rosacea, age spots and melasma. Solar Rx carries a EWG Skin Deep Rating of 0 (0 to 10 scale where 0 is best). NOTE: Due to the high demand of Solar Rx, we are now projecting order shipments will be scheduled for the week of July 14. This is being driven by the EWGs sunscreen report and the widespread concern it has generated in the United States. We apologize for any delay and appreciate your patience. This is a delay from the manufacturer and will be the same for all companies who sell this product.

I've been using this for 6 months... May 6, 2008 Christina McPherson (Central Coast, Ca USA) 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
I think this is a great sunscreen for faces. I have rosacea and need to use physical sunblocks. I also am a contact lens wearer, and some chemicals eventually get into my eyes and sting. I won't use products with chemical fragrance or parabens. That leaves me with few options and I've tried lots. Most products leave a white haze, not this one. It also leaves my skin feeling moisturized, but not oily or shiny. I don't like it for all-body, it can be spread too thin. Very nice product. (note- this product does have essential oils and a scent)
Perfect sunscreen! May 14, 2008 L. D'Antonio (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
I love this sunscreen for my face and neck. It goes on great under makeup and is not greasy at all. It was rated best sunsreen on many websites. I highly recommend this for EVERYDAY use. You should always have at least 30spf on.
defective packaging July 7, 2008 N. Aden 6 out of 10 found this review helpful
I bought this product after reading positive reviews online. After using it for a couple months, the pump failed and I was not able to extract the remaining ~80% of sunscreen. The company never replied to my subsequent emails. Caveat emptor.
Good stuff, but now sold out everywhere July 4, 2008 Reise O'Reilly (Somewhere in time) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
Here are the EWG's (Environmental Working Group) five most effective and safest sunscreens (It's been on the news and such lately as well): 1. Keys Soap Solar Rx Therapeutic Sunblock 2. Trukid Sunny Days Facestick Mineral Sunscreen UVA/UVB Broad Spectrum 3. California Baby Sunblock Stick No Fragrance 4. Badger Sunscreen 5. Marie Veronique Skin Therapy Sun Serum Worst five: 1. Coppertone Lotion Sunscreen 2. Zia Natural Skincare Daily Moisture Screen 3. Formula 405 Aha Day Face Cream 4. Gillette Complete Skincare Facial Moisturizer 5. Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Time Complex Moisture Cream That's why this one is back-ordered a lot this summer.
Smells great, safe, excellent protection July 27, 2008 Alice Wonder On the very top of EWG's list of recommended, safe products. It smells great and goes on well. I wear it every day.
