If this is what I think it is... May 5, 2008 Chris L. 7 out of 21 found this review helpful
I think this may be the 2006 all-starr DVD. If it is, I have waited 2 long years for this. It was recorded at Mohegan Sun Casino in CT. This show was amazing and long too. I can't wait to see what this actually is. There is no info on Koch's site, or any fan sites or Ringo's site. Even if it isn't what I think it is, it will still get 5 starrs, because it's Ringo. He can do no wrong in my book.
Best All Starr Band DVD release so far, IMO July 31, 2008 J. McKeon (Williston Park, NY USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
In my opinion. this is the best DVD from Ringo and his All Starr Band yet. One of the big reasons for that is the fact that this is a complete show. Previous All Starr Band DVD releases were incomplete. Another big reason for the high quality of this DVD is that this band really cooks. I have never been a big fan of Richard Marx or Billy Squier, but I must admit that this 2006 All Starr lineup is a very definite improvement over the 2003 lineup with John Waite and Paul Carrack. There are numerous musical highlights on this DVD. Be sure to check out the way the whole band rocks out on Marx's "Should've Known Better." I never thought of this song, or any Richard Marx song, as a rocker. But the whole band really burns on this one. All in all, a terrific show that's well preserved on this DVD. Enjoy!
Pure Perfection! July 9, 2008 Denise (NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Totally Marvelous, a great group of rockers, absolutely fantastic!! Normally I dont like those interviews in between songs, but with this lineup, its a very nice fit. Hope the 2008 All Stars go to DVD too.
Excellent! July 10, 2008 CT8706 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This DVD is amazing. I was there the night that it was filmed and it is just as wonderful as I remember it being. Each member of the band is an incredible musician and the solo spots are great. The interviews, although I anticipated that they would be distracting and possibly even annoying, are very entertaining and add a lot. This is a must have for any Beatle fan.
Eclectic, yes...BUT July 23, 2008 Bill Board (God's Wrath, Ohio) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Once again, Mr. Starkey has proven that he can take from 4 to 7 musicians from any genre and turn them into a tight-as-a-tick band. God bless you, Ringo. But still: WHEN are you going the release the absolute GREATEST "Ringo's All Starr Band" configuration, that of Peter Frampton, Gary Brooker, Jack Bruce, and Simon Kirke on DVD? PLEASE?
