I bought this kit a couple months ago when it first came out. It does not come with a DVD or any sort of intructions, so I just put it on the way I've learned throughout the years. For the eyeshadows, I put the light eyeshadow color all over the lid and the dark eyeshadow just in the crease. Which, I will say that I think the light eyeshadow is TOO light because I can barely tell anything is there at all when I wear it, and then the 'crease' shadow is too dark.. when I wore it, and lightly at that, my 6 year old niece said it looked like black eye shadow. Having said that, I LOVE the powder eyeliner and the brush you use for it. It gives my eyes soft definition and the color works really well with my pale skin tone and auburn hair. Having the liner in powder form, and using that specific brush gives me an effect I've never seen before, and I adore it. It will always be my go-to eyeliner when I want to look my best. The blush.. I feel neutral about the blush. It is quite pink as you can see in the picture, so I always put it on light. But it works. It's what I use when I use blush. I DO really enjoy the lip gloss that comes along with the kit. I think its a very pretty color, Dolly is the name I do believe, and it stays put pretty well without feel heavy or sticky. Overall, it was nice for an inexperienced makeup person like me to have a kit layed out for me with everything I needed, but the eyeshadows aren't something I can use every day, though everything else is. If the eyeshadow colors work for you though, then I'd say definitely go for it.

I just bought this kit from Amazon and I do like the colors, brushes, and lip gloss. I have hazel eyes and I feel like the colors really bring out the green in my eyes. The colors can also be worn for a day or evening look. It all depends on how heavy you put on the makeup. The lip gloss is very nice and tingly. I am disappointed by the small size of the containers and the sparkly blush. If I were to buy it all over again I would go Ulta or Sephora to make sure I am happy with what I am getting.
