Great basic, affordable cleanser with modern "microbubbling" lather = makes face-washing more pleasurable July 25, 2008

This is a green gel cleanser with a microbubbling lather (not big suds or foam, which is good), and has a touch of menthyl lactate for a cooling, slightly tingling effect. The delish scent smells like sweet tea, and it cleans the face well, but does not work as a makeup remover (You'll have to use a milky or oil-based cleanser first).
What's interesting and new about this formula is the super gentle microlather, fizzing little bubbles kind of like how hydrogen peroxide acts. This cleanser doesn't slide all over in a slick soapy mess like traditional gel cleansers. The tiny bubbling lather is a pleasure to use, making you linger a bit more at massaging your skin. The added tingle factor (very subtle, not a powerful Noxema tingle), makes you feel as if it's deep cleansing (a-ha!). In all, the sensory experience of this cleanser will just make your cleansing routine more pleasurable, resulting in hopefully more minutes revelling in the procedure, and therefore more cleansed skin. I use this with my Clarisonic cleansing brush, and whoa---talk about super pure, super clean skin.
I would definitely buy this again. it's gentle, cleanses well, doesn't sting the eyes (bonus), and makes face washing a bit more fun. The best part? It's super, super affordable.
