Cool Cam December 2, 1999 34 out of 35 found this review helpful
This camera is so fun, not to mention affordable! It is light, durable (Ive even dropped it a few times) and totally easy to use. I take it everywhere. Be sure to get extra batteries though because they wear out before you know it.
not long lasting December 1, 1999 32 out of 34 found this review helpful
My Sharp viewcam broke about 6 months after the 1 year warranty. I loved the ease of the camera, but now it would cost me more to repair it than it was to buy it. I took great care of the camera and used it often to film my new baby. One day I tried to watch a tape I recorded a day before and the tape got stuck in the camera and wouldn't do anything! I would absolutely shop around with other brands before buying this Sharp product.
ITS EAZY November 18, 1999 20 out of 24 found this review helpful
In response to who has trouble hooking up to the VCR I found it to be so easy I was impressed. find the right yellow and white audio and video input jacks hook it up and the other end to the camcorder. If you have a cable box change the set to aux-in from the tv menu. turn the camcorder on and use the remote control for the camcorder and you are set. Mine is very easy.
Perfect camcorder for anyone especially if you wear glasses! June 18, 1999 13 out of 14 found this review helpful
I have had my Camcorder for 2 months and just love it. It is so easy to use and fun to instantly review your video with sound. This price is great and lot cheaper than department stores. People stop me wherever I go to take a look at my Camcorder and want to know where they can buy one. It is perfect for anyone who has trouble looking through the old type Camcorder and trying to squint your eyes to see. You just point and shoot with this camera!
Perfect, except for the battery life July 13, 1999 12 out of 12 found this review helpful
The best thing about the Sharp ViewCam camcorders -- all of them -- is that they allow you to record family events while still taking part in them. With the camera discreetly held at waist level rather than in front of your face, you can still be a part of the conversation. People find it less intimidating, too, so they tend to behave more naturally. You can also flip the LCD 180 degrees, and record yourself. The only downside is that the LCD sucks up batteries, so buy a spare set.
