The concept is fabulous. I can't get it to pair with my LG 8350 and repeated emails to the manufacturer are ignored. Will have to return it. Not a happy camper.
Good Product April 6, 2008 Skeet (Georgia) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Good product. Bluetooth sync was easy and quick. Solar charging appears to work well even on cloudy days. Can be a little tricky to manage functions (press button for varying seconds to initiate tasks) but once learned, it functons well. Can also be used in meetings, sound quality is good.
Doesn't work the way it's supposed to August 28, 2008 Daech (OC, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this car kit because of the new California law, and also because I specifically didn't want to have a bunch of wires strewn about in my car. The Anycom kit seemed to be the perfect solution to my problem. It's solar powered, so I should be able to just stick it in my windshield and forget about it. I rarely use the phone in my car, so I wasn't asking much from it. It still didn't deliver. Actually, the regular functions of it work just fine. It's nice and loud, the button is easy to press, it paired easily with my phone, &c. The problem is with powering it. I live in Southern California, and park my car outside both at home and at work. This device was getting 12-14 HOURS of direct sunlight EVERY DAY! This should be ample power for it. It wasn't. After 5 days, the device started beeping every 30 seconds to tell me it didn't have enough power. During this week, I probably used it for a grand total of 5 minutes of calls. I figured I didn't let it charge enough when I bought it, so I took it in the house and charged it overnight. The next day, it had a full battery, and worked just great. However, after less than a week, it once again started crying about how it didn't have enough power. This was on a Sunday. Not one to give up on it, I thought to myself, "Okay, I really only need it on weekends." So, I left it in the window, but OFF, for a week. It got a grand total of 60 HOURS of DIRECT SUNLIGHT! This should have been more than adequate to charge it up. When I turned it on, it IMMEDIATELY began crying about not having enough power. I have since thrown it in the glove box and not used it. I think I will try to return it if I get some free time. They definitely do NOT have their act together, and I'm unsure that the solar panel does anything at all. So if you're buying it because it's solar, save your money, and wait for some other company to produce one. This one will only work properly if it's plugged in, so you may as well buy a cheaper one and save yourself the solar premium.
works great April 20, 2008 Kisung Lee Check the compatibility with your phone first. Long as your phone is in the list, it is a must device in your car. No cord, always on, no hassile to recharge, voice dialing, instant answering without looking for your phone.... great device.
Needs more volume August 1, 2008 Larry Wade III (LA) The idea is great. The solar charging works great. But the volume, both to and from the device, needs to be able to go a lot louder. As it is, you have to have the windows up and the stereo off to have a conversation. Beyond that, it's a great product.
