Amazon.com Product Description Simplify your Audio/Video experience with this SB-V31G game and video selector. This sleek and modern device will support three components. These three inputs are stereo RCA jacks. There is also one stereo RCA output. Because the SB-V31G works on a passive system, there are no power requirements; you can therefore use this device wherever it is most convenient, without considering an available power source. There are also no cable re-connection requirements. Simply plug in your components properly and the system is ready to function. If you are looking for a clean way to consolidate a few of your A/V components, this selector is a proper choice. What's in the Box Sony SB-V31G selector

Works perfectly! August 10, 2007 J. Kitagawa (San Jose, CA USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This switch works perfectly. I have a Nintendo Wii and Sony PS2 hooked up to a big screen TV. And my kids (8yo & 5yo) can work it to switch up which game system they want to play with. And I even still have an "open" line in for a future device. I would recommend this if you need to do something similar.
Great! August 14, 2007 William Arnold (Bellevue, Nebraska USA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I use this to select between DVD or cable input for an old tv in my bedroom and it works perfectly for that. I've tried a couple of the remote-controlled switches but they just seem to stop working so this is a very inexpensive and dependable surprise!
Very Convenient-They Don't Tell You What Else You Need! January 19, 2008 Alec C. Winmill (Fargo, ND U.S.A.) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
This works well to hook up various components to your TV - dvd player, vcr, ps2/3, xbox/360, Wii, etc. and easily switch between them. The one problem I had, was finding a male-to-male a/v cables (red/yellow/white) cable, as one doesn't come with this. Also, I paid about 5 dollars less for this last year, not sure why the raise in price. This is a good product, just be willing to spend ten more dollars on a cable (on eBay or a hardware store - best buy will charge you twice that).
Requires a video signal June 11, 2008 Vernon William Wenberg III (MN, USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I wanted to use this to switch between different audio sources and the occasional video source. The problem is that like most other switchers, this requires a video signal to work. Great if you always have that, but for me ... not so great.
Does the job, works well, but can be a mess May 24, 2008 Turtle502 (Pitman, NJ USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This item does exactly what it's designed to do. I picked this item over others because I didn't want something that required power. You can connect up to three devices, selecting them with a somewhat clunky wheel. I'm sure there's a reason why Sony chose to use a wheel instead of switches or other selectors. There is no crosstalk between the channels, so even if you have all three devices on, you'll see no interference with the image. The images are just as good using this device as they are without it. If you're also looking to eliminate cable clutter, this isn't for you. I call this thing the "octopus", but I have it and all its connected components hidden behind closed doors in our entertainment center. Once all of the cables are connected, the device becomes a little unwieldly. You'll also want to keep it within reach, with enough slack on the cables so that you can pick it up and see what number the wheel is on, while actually being able to turn the wheel. I don't think using this product results in a neat installation, so it won't suit every installation.
