Product Description Are you tired of taking blurry pictures but find carrying a tripod around too heavy or bulky? Then get a Modo Monopod. It has the convenience of a tripod but is a light 0.6 pounds. Just attach your camera and you're ready to take clear, focused pictures.

Steady As She Goes October 10, 2007 R. T. SIMPSON 12 out of 13 found this review helpful
I'm not a big fan of steadying devices for cameras, believing if you can't hold it steady enough, crank up the ISO, raise the shutter speed, open the aperture, or go directly to tripod. However...I'm currently using a Nikon D80 with a 80-400 lens and found that even with Nikon's Vibration Reduction, I was losing the hand held battle in moderate light conditions with the lens at full extension. Hence the monopod purchase. I used it for three hours this morning and it works just fine. It is lightweight, quick to extend and retract, long enough to accomodate me without stooping (I'm 6'1"), and solid. An unexpected plus...I attached the monopod to the lens pod mount, and discovered the fully retracted monopod to be an ergonomically pleasing 'handle' that enhanced the camera's balance. What's not to like here? This product is well built, does everything it's supposed to do, and is fairly priced. If you need a monopod, I suggest you give this one a try.
Great gift idea for a photographer . . . January 9, 2007 Joyce Whittington (University, MS United States) 9 out of 10 found this review helpful
We purchased this monopod for our l9-year old who regularly shoots weddings, family Christmas pictures, etc. He absolutely loves it, especially it's size when it "scopes" down so fits easily on his camera case backpack. He says it allows him to do so much more with his camera.
Good Brand Name - Flimsy Monopod January 16, 2008 John D. Locklair (Charleston, SC) 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
I purchased this monopod because I have had good experiences with Bogen / Manfrotto tripods and trust their name. I got the monopod in today and there were several flaws with it. - Fully extended, I felt like I was going to break the thing just putting the camera on and a little downward pressure to steady it. It needs to be thicker overall, I think. - The rubber cap covering the screw is nice but it was really hard to lift it off. I had to use the screwdriver blade of my Swiss Army knife. The camera did screw on with no problem. - Then, finally, the strap buckle wouldn't keep the strap in a loop, but kept coming undone. I shouldn't have expected such a low-priced product to perform well. I was just really dissappointed. I'll have to save up my money and get a higher quality monopod later.
Well made October 17, 2007 A. Cooper (Sault Sainte Marie, MI United States) 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
I recently purchased this product and am very pleased at how well it functions. I think, for the price, it is a very good product.

Received this as Christmas Gift. Works great with my Digital SLR. Helps steady the camera. Have used it on the beach on a very very windy day. great photos. Also serves as a walking stick. Am very leased with the product. Easy to operate and lightweight. Collapses to fit in a suitecase.
