My in-laws bought this for our 22-month-old son. Amazon has the age listed as 17 months to 3 years; and the manufacturer has the age as 17 months and up. THE ACTUAL BOX SAYS for under 18 months!! It would have been a great toy for when he was younger, but now he's WAY too big for this thing.
BTW, I was forced by Amazon to rate (with stars) the toy in order to leave this review. Don't pay any attention to the stars, just the write-up. =)

Our daughter became this as she was a baby. We tried several time during her past 2 years if she would reach a moment to like it, but she always wanted to go out after 1 or 2 minutes. Maybe other babies are diferent, but I think its not the right material for such a playground. For a hot environment like ours in the south, it quickly gets very hot inside and you can not leave your baby or little child alone playing because of the plastic material that can be dangerous. We finally sealed the holes on the bottom and do not pump up the upper part so we fill it with water and use it as a litle pool, thats the only way for us to use it.

When we first introduced this "gym", our daughter took a little while getting used to it. It became more of a confined play area for her while we worked inside while keeping an eye on her.
She didn't like the idea of being separated from us. But every child is different. She was able to wiggle her way out of it, and didn't find the hanging toys amusing- just in the way. I think if we were to bu0y the balls with it, this toy would be much more enjoyable.

We bought this for our 7 months old and she did not like it at all. There was really nothing to amuse her. We had placed some toy's in it, but that still did nothing for her.If you are looking for somewhere to place your child and listen to them scream of boredom ... then here are your two stars. As far as bouncing, this was not a good idea. There was really no support to the walls of this item. Bouncing for a 18-20 pounder was not a good idea. The bouncer never sat straight, it always had a tilt to it. Maybe from the packaging. Also,the toy's hung wrong overhead as well. We are now 4 months later (of not that much use) throwing it out!!! Somewhere, it has sprung a leak and we cannot seem to find it either. So, overall ... this was not one of our better choices.

For once a fun item for babies that they won't outgrow soon. This little My first Gym is a great alternitive to a playpin. Easy to set up, fun for babies and peace of mind for parents. My customers love it, and my granddaughter has a blast in it. I would strongly recomend this item to parents of little ones under 18 months.
