Great support material! August 29, 2005 S. Chen (Suffolk, VA) 28 out of 30 found this review helpful
I bought this for my 4 year old who is taking piano lessons. HE LOVES IT!!! It is not only educational but also entertaining for children and adults alike. Definitely worth it!!
Great Entertainment & Learning! August 11, 2005 Camille Nies (TX) 27 out of 29 found this review helpful
As a music educator, I find this software is perfect for learning and drilling the essentials of music theory. The graphics and visuals are entertaining for elementary-aged students and the prompts are clear enough that my non-reading four year old LOVES to play. She has entertained herself for hours!
Great!...for personal use September 17, 2005 K. Taylor 16 out of 45 found this review helpful
I feel like I got snookered. This is cool software, but this particular package can only be set up for ten users! Big problem for a studio with 160 students. Not bad for home use though.
Overpriced and not related to Violin Players January 3, 2007 Andrew.C (Charlotte, NC) 9 out of 17 found this review helpful
I bought this for my violin beginner 11 year old on the strength that it had pictures of violin players on the box. I wanted her to get comfortable with reading music for violin. However none of the software is directed at violin players, but rather just to piano players. Though my daughter is bright and very computer literate this software offered her very little in the way of an interesting learning tool. It may be advertized as good for teaching musical theory but it failed miserably to capture the attention of my daughter. We have a lot of educational software (40+ including Edmark by IBM) ranging from Math, Spelling and Typing games and find this package very limited in functionality and consequently very overpriced!
Great product. We saw big improvements in less than an hour of use July 23, 2007 E. Riachi (Kansas, USA) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
My 6 years old son is taking piano lessons form an excellent real teacher. But as a supplement he tried some of the lessons from the limited edition version of this program which was bundled with the Yamaha keyboard we bought for him. He got hooked and had lots of fun for about an hour with these lessons and wanted to do more lessons but couldn't due to that what we had was a limited edition and I think it only had three lessons. Then he immediately started playing the keyboard and I noticed a huge advancement and improvement in his playing and his timing. I became convinced; not only he found the lessons engaging but I saw immediate results in less than an hour. So we finally, bought the deluxe version of the software for him which contains 36 lessons all together and we'll use this program as a supplement to his music lessons with his real teacher. You can actually download some of the demo lessons from www.harmonicvision.com and try before you buy. See if you get the same results. Oh, I'll probably be using the program too. A limited number of students can use this program on the same license. They also sell a studio version if you need to exceed the limit.
