Nice Monocular January 7, 2007 E. Hambre (Northern California, USA) 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
I needed to replace my broken compact binoculars. I decided to get Tascos Essential 10x25 monocular as it would fit better on my belt. I use it everyday for work (I do house inspections) and find that it is very nice to use. The image is large and clear and I love its small size. It is quite powerful, for closer viewing I find I sometimes have to mover farther away! The rubber coating is useful as I've already dropped it a couple of times but there is no damage to the monocular or the image! The only negative is the soft case you get. Putting the monocular back into the case is sometimes a chore. A hard case or stiffer material would be better, but overall I am quite pleased with this item!
Great Product January 28, 2008 Douglas J. Demers (Minneapolis, MN USA) 4 out of 9 found this review helpful
I handed these out one of these out to everyone of my co-workers a surprise christmas present from me, they we're very appreciative. Unfortunately they we're not shipped to me before Christmas as promised, so I paid the two day shipping for nothing. They arrived 5-days after Christmas. I paid the two day shipping and you guys ripped me off. The product however was nice. I'm loosing faith in Amazon, this is the second time I have paid for two day shipping and received the product after two weeks...you people are confused or you need more education. I suspect I will not get my money back... so really whats the point of paying for two day shipping if you're not going to actually do it?
Works well in daylight December 22, 2007 Ethyl (Los Angeles) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought these to give to the neighbors kids, but it only works well in daylight. I tried it at a concert and couldn't really make it work for me in the dark.
Nice Fun August 29, 2007 Thomas W. Stone (South Beach (Mia Bch)) It is what it is! A nice fun handy monocular. A bit small in field of vision as in how wide an area is seen through the view finde. But tons of fun at the beach and the games, easily held in one hand. Not easily seen by others. Nice, Fun.
Soft focus, worthless June 17, 2008 Ikat (New York) I bought this based upon the other reviews. I didn't expect much from an inexpensive monocular but thought it could be helpful on an upcoming trip to the Galapagos. Well, it is useless - very small viewing area and, what you can see is in very "soft" focus. In other words, things are enlarged but they're not terribly clear and because the field of view is so narrow, you really need to hunt for whatever you're looking for. It probably isn't worth the shipping cost for me to return it, otherwise, I would.
