Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The FF400 FlipFlash H.O.T like the other flash flips allows for horizontal and vertical shots keeping the flash high and centered above the lens. In the Vertical mode, this bracket lets you shoot the way you would normally with your "hand on top" of the camera which is the most popular way to shoot verticals. The platform base supports larger camera bodies and allows the entire assembly (camera, flash and bracket) to stand up on it's own

Customer Reviews:
Dandy flash holder July 29, 2007 HWJ3 (New Jersey) This piece is made in the USA! It is solid and it is reasonably priced. You can use a quarter inch screw mount to attach it to a tripod if you want to use it in a group shot where you intend to run into the picture. It attaches to the camera via a quarter inch screw mount in the bottom of the camera. I like having it on the right side of the camera because I turn the left side of my camera down when I want portrait orientation of the picture. I am using it with a Canon Rebel XT camera and a huge 550ex or 580ex flash. You need a cord to connect the flash to the camera. The only improvement I would like to see is to have it lock in either landscape or portrait position.
Best flash bracket I have found November 19, 2008 C. Phillips (Kansas City, MO United States) I looked at every flash bracket I could find, and finally settled on the Omega Flashflip H.O.T. I shoot with a Canon XTi and even with my battery grip this bracket fits great. It stays firmly in place in both positions, yet switches quickly when I need it to. It is also very comfortable to hold. I am very please with it.
