Good Portable October 20, 2007 George Foxworth (Fair Oaks, CA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased the Sunpak Ball Head to go with my Gorilla portable minipod. I've used it several times with the SD20 and it is quite able to handle the weight of a digital SLR with a mid-range zoom lens. It's a great accessory for the price.
A great value over its higher priced competition April 28, 2008 Careful Driver (Seatle, WA USA) It does its basic job well - can be screwed on tight on to a base and holds the camera/camcorder quite steady. I use it on a homemade mount that attaches to my car seat of shooting video while driving. I get very steady shots. The only limitations of this unit is that it isn't as easy to screw/unscrew a camera to it. I would recommend this over higher priced units for light use.
Pro. May 14, 2008 Richard I got this for my monopod and it works very good I recommend for monopod and tripods.
photoirguy June 11, 2008 rbj (Berzerkeley, CA USA) Sunpak has a nice finish but doesn't lock well, still has some creeping movement when added pressure is applied not so with the Slik SBH-100 ball head which has a better locking lever.
