Better than the Zen Stone! April 2, 2008 starboxer (cochran, ga United States) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
I own both the Zen Stone 1GB and this player, and I definitely recommend this one. It doesn't cost much more and is a 4GB. It also has a bass boost and plugs directly into your computer for charging, whereas the Stone uses a cable...one of the reasons I bought a new MP3 player-my dog ate the cable. The elongated shape fits in your hand better than the Stone as well. It is also really easy to download songs.
Double the capacity for about the same price May 4, 2008 D. Andruss 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
I purchased the 2 GB version of this from an eletronics outlet for $30 (Amazon is selling the 2GB version for $70 at the time of this review) - if you're going to get a T100, might as well pay the eight bucks for the 4GB version and get double the storage. HOWEVER.. If you actually go to Creative's website and plug "T200" into the search bar you'll find a 2 GB version with a video display and a recording function (for taping classes or conferences, etc) for 49.99 (at the time of this review) - still a better value than Amazon's 2GB T100. Don't buy from Amazon without shopping around first - always check the manufacturer's website. Odds are there's something newer and cheaper out. Remember, Amazon gets rid of overstock for profit.
Don't get gouged! May 7, 2008 L. Richard (Bay Area, CA USA) 3 out of 8 found this review helpful
I just saw this (brand new) at a local electronics store for $49.95! It wasn't on special or discounted in any way... I looked at some other sites and 49.95 seems to be the suggested retail price for the 4gb model. Avoid this one on Amazon, get it in your local brick and mortar electronics store or elsewhere online. I realize that as time goes by the price here may change, but Amazon has this item currently listed at over $70! What a ripoff.
great deal October 12, 2008 boris (Hon, HI) i have to admit, i wasnt expecting too much for the price, but i was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality, the tiny size and again, the great price! the player is very simple- no frills, but the sound is great, the bass boost works, unlike the other zens and 4gb of flash for under $50.00! the only thing i dont like about it is that the power button is very sensitive and if you have it in your pocket and lean against something, the player powers on. they shoud have put a hold or lock for turning off. but i now use a "Altoids" tin for it and the earphones and player fit perfectly in it. very cool player for the price.
