Pretty good sight with one problem December 26, 2007

I purchased this sight for use with a revolver. Overall it does a great job. The "dot' is not a crisp dot as you would like it to be, but it looks like a slightly refracted laser light in the distance. After sighing it in, it was accurate. The Weaver mounting, however, is a little cockeyed. It does not sit flush due to the unilateral tension screw. The screw actually torques the device so that it is almost 1mm higher on the opposite side. It would have been better if the weaver mount had anchoring screws on each end.
Reveiw Addendum: I have moved this sight to my shotgun and have had better luck with it there. Seems the type of rail is the issue. I have replaced with a Trijicon sight and specific mount by Trijicon for S&W revolvers. works much better.
